For all of us with new netbooks from the Currys / PCWorld clearance just before the weekend.

I know 800MHz is overkill and 666MHz is just £18 on Amazon but this has better resale potential and I have a Dane-Elec USB stick still going strong after 5 years. Surely better than Kingston Value RAM.

Suitable for Revos?

Should work in all laptops with DDR2 memory.

Technically this is all the information there is to go on concerning compatibility, although I've never worked out why some machines require more specific memory, I thought it was just a way for memory resalers to make money. I've never had a problem with off the shelf RAM. I recall seeing Mac's memory listed here as though it was different.

DDR2 laptop memory. Should work if you have DDR2 and a laptop. Can't see why not.

So at least as good as Kingston, who coincidentally aren't bad at making Flash devices either.

Excellent. Heat heat and more heat.

I bought the 2gb from crucial a couple of days ago. Think I'll stick with that.

I've been meaning to upgrade the 2 1xGB sticks on my Dell Vostro 1500.
Extends the lifespan further until I eventually buy a SSD.

Cheers,

great, thanks, ordered!

Is it compatible with Asus X58L? If yes, then is it ideal to have it upgraded from 1 GB to 3 GB. Thanks!
#21
Experts: are these backward compatible? Meaning can I fit these on a laptop which supports up to DDR2 677 (PC2-5300)?
#22
Now "stock on order"
#23
sorry to be igronant

but would this be any good for Dell Vostro 1500

did a crucial scan and it told me DDR2 PC2 - 5300 or DDR2 PC2 - 6400 whci the above are, but what is SDRAM ?
and CAS Latency:555-12 ?
#24
It is compatible with any DDR2/PC2 RAM. Your system's RAM will run at the slower speed of the two.

It is compatible with Asus x58l. I would not hesitate to upgrade from 1Gb of RAM. These will not need replacing as they are its maximum.
