installing ram to a laptop only takes 2-5 seconds :-D
the problem is how easy to access to the ram slot, which depends on specific model/brand. acer aspire one is the worst laptop/netbook in this case

Will i have to do anything else to the laptop, and how will this improve exsisting setup? cheers

using a single piece of 2GB - plug and play. nothing need to be done!
using dual 2GB (total 4GB) - you may need 64Bit OS to detect full ram
you may or may not feel the difference. your laptop will slow down if you dont have enough ram and you try to run massive programs, extending ram will reduce the chance of slowdown but not necessary to boost performance beyond the other parts'(cpu, hdd etc) limit

such a good deal, thanks:thumbsup:

not the fastest memory... don't install on a high-end laptop such as the MacBookPro

It's actually the perfect memory for the old MacBook Pro (non-unibody), with the exception of the early 2006 model which only supports 1GB per slot. The current unibody ones use DDR3.

It's also the perfect spec for my mid 2007 iMac - thanks, ordered 2 :D

Hi will this work on a toshibe equium A100 laptop and if I bought 2 would it work at 4gb ram?
#14
how do i find out if this would work in my dell vostro 1500?
#15
Should ANY memory from Dane-Elec fail after 30days, 7day shop will not want to know, and Dane-Elec cannot be contacted, they have no number to call in the UK, only an email address, I have sent them over 10 emails asking for support, they have been ignored. They are a terrible company, do not trust their 2nd rate products and non existent support.

Think it's a similar case with my Zoostorm laptop. Sure it's maxed out at 2 X 1gb.
Amazed it's now 3 years old and still running most things pretty well :)

not sure about that model -are there varying models within the 1545 range - possibly do a search on google with your dell model number or check dells site for product info

Dane-Elec's website is atrocious. Flash overload with links that lead to nowhere.

This is Dane-Elec's UK phone number, btw.

Just received the two sticks I ordered last week and they actually sent me Celenade memory (I think this is the budget brand name for Dane-Elec) - both of which were faulty - same as one of the Celenade sticks they sent me last week - not impressed! Make sure you get what you ordered and that it actually works!
