Inspired by Italian poet Dante Alighieris chilling vision of the afterlife, Dantes Inferno sees players descend into the depths of Hell and fight to save a loved one.

Alighieris classic 13th century poem, The Divine Comedy, is seen by many as the definitive depiction of the Hell, inspiring countless films and games over recent years. Adapting the classic storyline with a more action-orientated twist, Dantes Inferno tells the story of Dante as he breaches the depths of Hell to save his beloved Beatrice, whose soul was dragged into the afterlife by Lucifer himself.

Dante will need to travel through the nine circles of Hell envisioned by Alighieri: limbo, lust, gluttony, greed, anger, heresy, violence, fraud and treachery. Each circle has been given its own distinct feel, with demons, monsters and the damned populating each area. Combat in Dantes Inferno has much in common with the fluid mechanics found Devil May Cry and God of War, giving players access to two primary weapons: a Holy cross given to Dante by Beatrice and a scythe taken from Death. An upgrade system allows players to tailor Dantes moves to their own fighting tastes.

The Divine Comedys iconic depiction of the afterlife provides fertile ground for EAs fluid and brutal action title.

Bought this off Zavvi for the same price when it was on deal and they still haven't sent and this was 2 weeks ago. all i have got is an email saying sorry we are speaking to supplier, they are an absolute joke tbh, plus they are still selling it and saying dispatch within 3 days

drago and eamer,
that's right fellas, join the club. I actually ordered it off zavvi two weeks ago or so as well, when their deal was posted on these boards. but a week later or so and after receiving the same email y'all did, i just cancelled my zavvi order this past sunday and bought the game off tesco entertainment instead immediately after.

i ordered with tesco on sunday night; the game was waiting for me at home in the day's mail two days later on the Tuesday. and much cheaper after the 15% code and quidco.

gotta love a bargain, gents.

Did the same. Cancelled the Zavvi order and sent them a ****** message about them being the only online retailer I've ever had consistent issues with and ordered from Tesco Ent. and got it in the post very quickly.

So has Chavvi replied back with an explanation, albeit a standardized, trite and pathetic one?

I have to say, I did order the AC2 complete version with them that same Sunday night and got the game 3 days later on the Wednesday. You win some; you lose some. I just wish you had a way of knowing ahead of time when it comes to chavvi.

Oh well - hope you're enjoyoing the game now, Eamer. I am in the middle of Darksiders, but think I will break-in Dante's Inferno after I get the Darksiders plat.
