I bought a pair of these for myself, and I highly recommend them!
They come with an inner pair of padded cycling shorts, which are easilly removable. The inner lycra shorts are worth the money alone!

* Quick drying
* Detachable padded cycle friendly liner short

how do these compare to Altura or Endura shorts (i have a pair of each around £50 and these would be a bargain if anywhere near as good. not interested in lycra inner, just how long is the outer? above/below knee?

Heat added for price but I know it was tongue in cheek but liner isn't worth that. I have three endura humvee and single track plus altura summit that I wear and cough cough have on sale here. So not buying.

For the dosh though they're worth a punt - can always chuch the inners away. Ta OP!

The only other cycling shorts I've used before were from Royal, so unfortunately, I can't say how the Dare 2b shorts would compare to Endura or Altura.
There is a good quality feel to the outters; they do feel like a good quality pair of shorts. They are comfortable to ride in and light weight.
I'm 5'11 and the shorts come to just below my knee. They have stretchy fabric in the crotch and inner thigh area so they don't snag on your knees at all when you're cycling.

The inners do seem a bit smaller than the outter - if the outter fits then you might find the inners to be slightly tight (I don't often wear lycra shorts though, so maybe it's just that I'm not used to them).

I did read that Bike Radar review before I bought a pair, but I tought the score didn't really reflect what they had to say in the summary.
When my shorts arrived, and I had a chance to test them, I soon ordered another pair ;P

I can recommend the windshells too, they pack down really small and don't weigh much at all. ...Very handy to keep in your bag, just in case ;)

no normal sizes left now anyway :-(

thanks everyone have gone for some smalls, have some heat. hopefully the outer works ok with boxers (haven't worn lycra for years, feels all wrong now!)

we'll see how good the "Water repellent finish" is too, my Altura 'waterproof' shorts are no longer and weren't helped by a dog bite last week.

had a quick try on, minus the inner, feel good, lightweight material but thats not a bad thing, probably less durable but i like them better than the enduras, mainly because Endura small are ridiculously short, these are couple of inches longer.

Altura still my favourite shorts but never seen them under £45

for the price no complaints even if they last half as long, thanks OP
small still in stock and some of the biggest ones too.

final note: these are definitely summer shorts.
they flap about and weigh only 150g with the liner (small)
feel pretty naked wearing them in this cold weather!
