just cos they're memorex branded means absolutely nothing, They're most likely CMC dye and no better than these datawrites.
I don't use jewel case so as i said before this deal is a better value deal imo

What The Quality Like On These, Have You Bought Them Before?

Quality is pretty good for everyday use, i've use them before without problems.
Datawrite, Ridisc, Memorex, TDK, Maxell, Ricoh, Philips etc etc are all 2nd grade media imo and i'd always insist on verbs or Taiyo yuden if you want the best.

work out at £12 for 100. might as well get maxell 100, find them reliable.
i have used a few of these before, without any problems however

yes but not everyone (like me for instance) wants 100 dvdrs so £2.98 is pretty good if you just want 25.

i think you can get packs of 50 on SVP for about £5.69 so if anyone wants more than 25 it would be cheaper to buy the 50 pack.

Anyone know if these "wiill" be any good? ;)

Depends on dye if CMC you will need a decent burner to get the most chance of them writing and make sure you have verify ticked in your burning program .Then scan them with dvdinfopro or cdspeed / discspeed in a drive that has jitter and hope you see lots of green and not red or orange or even yellow.

Having now clicked on thru to svp they are TDK 003 and the same applies to this dye as CMC.. hope you got a compatible writer and at least verify.

Saying as these are only £2.98 delivered then if you cannot make them work not so much money lost just don't buy 600 when you only have 1 dvd writer

I ordered 2x25 packs yesterday with the free delivery code and received this morning.

I've checked, the dye used on these disks are "TDK003" which are pretty good according to

Anyone used this brand to burn Wii games?
#17
Why is this hot?!

DataWrite are sh!tty disks in my opinion, I'd never use them again even if they were giving them away. Had trouble with them initially (bad burns, difficulties reading disks, etc) and over time they seem to have degraded to the point they are unreadable! Tons of lost data, media files, etc :-(

This is an extremely average price for the quantity even if they were OK quality disks.

These are currently the best deal as far as writable DVD media goes on there. I've ordered SILLY amounts of these disks over the past 6 - 12 months, and can't recall even one bad burn.

EDIT: Promotional code works. Despite these disks being a dud (for me anyways) Thanks for that, you saved me over a fiver! ;-)

The link you provided are supposed to be maxell with a taiyo yuden dye, my guess is that they are fakes.
Maxell have never been grade A media imo and i doubt these will be genuine taiyo yuden at that price.

TDK are best? Don't be silly, not even close. Taiyo Yuden are best and at just over 30p a disk why use anything else? Unless your data is worthless of course.

At £5 for 50 discs delivered, i've gone for these

Bulkpaq - might as well say 'happy shopper' on the tub. Utter dross, always have been and always will. Even for 50, about £4.90 overpriced.

Tara Pinkerton seems to be as popular round here as an MP with a chandelier under one arm and a duck house under the other.

Well, I have ordered nigh on 1000 of these disks over the past several months. Now and again i do check the media to see if it is genuine, and it's always came up as taiyo yuden. Unless your speaking from experience, then your comments are pure speculation and nothing else. Not meaning to tkae a dig or anything mate. Actually, i should have voted hot purely on the FREE postage code!

Have used Datawrite discs many times over the years without problems. I am no expert but always burn DVDs no faster than 4 x speed and always verify. I understand that the slower you burn the better the burn. Used to be a NERO user but now use ASHAMPOO without problems as I did not want such a huge program as NERO 9.
#31
I needed to order some dual layer so i got these along with some dual layer for the free delivery :)
#33
Thanks for the heads up, although I have gone for the Datawrite Red Mach4 16x DVD-R (Pack of 50) instead for £6.09.

I have found these to work great in my PS3 and Wii.

Any recommendations on the DL options? http://www.svp.co.uk/consumables/blank-dvdr/double-layer/2/?cat_id=300&sort=price_high&user_len=18

TuffDisk any good?

Have a feeling my last dodgy DLs were Bulkpaq now..

Still got plenty of my unbranded white faced 16x DVDRs from Bigpockets. Slight error on their part = 400 DVDRs for £16 delivered. Only had a couple fail and I burn them at 18x :whistling:

Wish I could get 20x DVDRs for my burner though
