I use the +r and find them very very good, so should be no reason why the -r should be any different, good find .
#2
very cheap for these discs heat and rep added!

Fanimal
I got two packs of these a few weeks ago from them at the same price of one pack so this is cold,

You got 100 discs for £4.49 ???? ( i don't think so)
Why didn't you post it on the forum.....that would be the best deal of the year

I find it quite funny that you can vote this deal cold
#4
I paid £5.49 for 50 only last week, voted hot!
#5
Just bought 2, will be good for DVD backups.
#6
Thanks for this. Have ordered 2.
#7
After using many brand discs, I always prefer Verbatims. Voted hot (for the price) anyway
#8
got 100 Verbatim DVD-R for this price from PC World a few months ago - long story short, they basically didnt have my reserved item instore & gave me 2x50pack for £8.99 :)

used to use these years ago datawrite yellows
then went to datawrite grey
never really hap a problem with them
any problems you get is normally down to firmware of you dvd drive
(needs updating)
the only bad datawrite i recall are the datawrite red discs so avoid them
heat added
although mixed reviews from svp website on these discs

For the price it's a great deal. Datawrite Yellow aren't bad either. I have found Maplin's Mr. DVD has a much higher rejection rate and are more expensive! Just ordered 2 x 50 of these as running low - thanks. Voted hot

Fantastic disks, I am currently using these (Inkjet printable topped ones, however same outer yellow sleeve) and have previously had other CMC dye disks and failure is rare. Great deal here, shame they are not the printable ones however.
#13
bargain! ordered

thanks
#14
Great Deal.
These are the only disks I use and the NEVER let me down.

For 100 this is a couple of quid less that usual, but with free delivery it's a great deal.

Thanks
#15
Thanks for this, just what I need for putting my college work on. Cheers.
#16
I've used these before with no problem. Some say that they don't last as long as Verbatim and that we all will have reading problems in a few years time. How do those people know that? I've burned about 200 so far and did not have a single coaster. Will re-order, thanks. Hot.

They claim "Storage acceleration tests guarantee safe storage for more than 30 years".

Not sure how accurate their test is but any important data should be copied over onto new discs every few years imo regardless of what they claim.

Heat and rep added

Just ordered 2 packs as backup

Thanks

HI

I just telephoned them and it seems the voucher code you have put on here does not apply as the item is already on special offer, which to me is fair.

The price of £5.49 delivered to your is good!

Just brought my pack.

The £2 voucher is from this offer which doesn't say anything about not using it with items already on offer

I can't get voucher working either........

Fair point, and me wanting my £2 tried that but it seems not, they were very polite and said that the item was already on special offer and therefore no other voucher or special offer applies and that it does state this on the T&C.

Guys, I dont have time to read all their T&C, it seems a fair deal at £5.49 and one i cant see cheaper anywhere else.

They still have them on offer at £5.49 until Monday morning so im stocking up.

i have just done that offer and got

"This voucher may be used at anytime on orders over £20.00 but not in conjunction with any other offer or voucher"

edit, put 4 packs in your basket and it will reduce it by £2

cheers
#28
I've ordered 2 earlier , voucher worked then. I think I've ordered this item from them before and they have replaced it with a different one (better according to them) as they had run out of stock, but they offered to cancel before that.

Fantastic price!

However we didn't have DVDs 30 years ago so how they can say they will last 30 years is beyond me and for this reason I am dubious about them - i.e a spurious claim totally unfounded - what does that say?

great price , thanks op. code did`nt work but still a good price:thumbsup: voted hot.

That you are not privy to Datawrite's manufacturers' R&D and no doubt stringent testing procedures? You can accelerate the effects of time in laboratory conditions.

Not saying that I would place great store by any guarantee these days, mind.

i brought 25 off these a while back and all 25 ended up being coasters

Why would you need 25 coasters? I haven't even got 25 cups.:?

Code works it just has one T&C - minimum spent is £20. So if you order 4x50 = £21.96 minus £2 = £19.96 which works out at 10 pence per disc. Not bad. Ordered, just to try.

i tried it yesterday...ordered 4 packs put in the code, paid via paypal...and they are gonna take out £21.96....even though it shows that i used the code....so the code didnt work for me ?..

I ordered a pack over the weekend, had a couple of mail to say that they are waiting for stock, then yesterday got this one,

"Following on from my earlier email, the DATAWRI080 discs in yellow, which you ordered have been discontinued and replaced with red 16 speed discs (also due in on Thurs/Friday) These too will work at 8 speed.

You do not need to do anything now, as we will automatically send you the upgraded discs at no extra charge."

Anyone know anything about these "red" disks?

Not much in the way of reviews on SVP, but 2 positive comments thus far:

Hard to tell from bigpockets, again only two reviews
