I bought this wheel last month and am pretty pleased with it. Does everything I would expect a wheel to do, and was pretty impressed by the number of buttons and extra bits, which are apparently fully customisable via usb on a PC. Contrary to some reviews it DOES work "out of the box" for GT5 on the PS3 although I think you need to change the "game mode" to PS3 as it defaults to PC/Xbox

A better option (IMO) for the casual user than the (overpriced?) G25 / G27 Logitech wheels. If 1/1000th of a second is vitally important to you (thats not to say this wheel is slower!!) or you are going to get 100's of hours of use from a wheel, possibly the driving force range is for you

Just purchased a Driving Force GT and compared to my previous wheel it is frankly amazing, I was expecting a lot less and I seem to have gotten a lot more because of it. It truely is worth the extra 50quid.

This Datel wheel also has rumble rather than force feedback. Rumble is just like in the Dual shock or 360 pads to give a bit of feedback from the car, whereas the force feedback the wheel fights back as you turn meaning you need to put some effort into turning it just like when you drive in real life.

If you watch closely note that the wheel doesnt appear to have any decent mounts so it move about as you play as it seems to use suction cups rather than mounting brackets on things like the DFGT and it the pedal box doesnt seem all that much better for sticking where you put it.

Looks ok on paper but if you're after a wheel to get more from the game I'd steer clear.
I bought this a few weeks ago and am impressed, it is more responsive then the last one i had on the PS2 (I know its been a while since i had one) but i choose this one cos it works on PS3, 360 and my PC, so can play Forza and GT dont think the Driving Force GT can do that?? Force feedback would be nice but i would put only needed 1 wheel for 2 consoles ahead of force feedback.
anyone know if it will work on PS2 or old Xbox as well?

dont know if it will work on the PS2, maybe it will, but it def wont work on an old xbox as it does not have a usb connection
Sounds good. Since you bought it, can you tell me what the wheel diameter is and how many buttons it's got?

Sorry only just seen your reply. It has 2 anaolgue sticks (for navigation) and all the buttons. The pedals default to R1 and R2, they may be changable via usb connection to a pc (assume this is what is meant by "customizable set up". Also has a ps home button in centre of wheel.

Wheel is dinner plate size - around 10 inches
