Depends what you like. I picked up one of these at 29.99 and I've downloaded over 400 albums so far. I'm sure most people with a reasonable range of musical tastes could find quite a lot of stuff on the site. The interface is rubbish, mind, but everything is at 192kbps or 256kbps encoding and excellent quality.

That looks like a great deal. Pay £20 then download the lot over a year & it's a cheap legal way to build a huge library of music. I've spent hundreds on itunes, after doing the filesharing thing & newsgroups I started using itunes to buy otherwise hard to find remixes & now buy all sorts through it legitimately.

Managed to get one in my local store for £20, even though the price shown on the ticket was still £99.99. The lady confirmed that this had been discontinued by Sainsbury's (hence the price drop I suppose).

It's a bit frustrating to use, as you have to download a track at a time, rather than being able to grab the whole album. Managed to download about 4 albums so far, so I think i've got abour £20 of value out of it already.

It's a shame that Universal and Sony didn't sign up to this facility, only Warner's and EMI have their artists on there (but not all of them).

Doncaster (Thorn Road) had at least about 6 of these on display tonight.

Well, after bigging this up with my previous posts, it's been completely broken since last Friday.

I've emailed them, but no response yet.

same here, most of the songs appear to be missing and some come up with error messages. Will email them too.

The thing that worries me is that most of the missing tracks are from the major labels (Warner Brothers etc).

Have they lost the rights to the tracks? And how would this affect us legally for a refund from Sainsburys if Datz went belly up?

Yes Sainbury's is still selling this but it is now Discontinued. I work in the Wrexham store and I bought one today as it has now gone down to just £10! Unfortunately after installing it I have come to realise the unfortunate truth after reading up on some articles on the web. It certainly doesn't look good. Website down and cannot log in through the Datz Lounge Program :-(
Oh dear. As for a refund I will certainly be taking mine back if the service does not resume.
Let us hope we here some positive news soon, although I won't be holding my breath.
