these are great dont get me wrong, just cannot see where this is a deal as I paid £15 a year ago for one so that is just the price they are..
#3
Weve got one of these had it about a year and its great for using a laptop on. We also paid £15.00 so it seems that the VAT has been dropped thats all.

Agree with other 2 posts - I have had this same table for 6 months and I paid £15 too.

Not as good as the pc world california laptop table on wheels - 4.99 - most of my family have at least one! I have the white one on a star base of castor, not just good for laptop but tv dinners and many other uses. Sadly they arent in-store any more,

The ikea one is just the price difference after the vat reduction! not really a deal

I have one of these, its ****. Wobbles all over the place

Got it in August 2006, dont think it was much cheaper than £15.

I totally agree... everything used to be called John... now it seems to be Dave... might have picked up from Only fools and horses I guess....

Isn't there a TV channel called Dave?

How's this a 'hot' deal? PC World one is much better and has wheels.
#16
How in the hell did this get to 131 degrees?
#17
What exactly is the point of one of these?

Any product called "Dave" deserves to be voted hot. Apparently it's real name is Rodney.

I use one of these pretty much every single day.

First - if it wobbles you need to tighten some screws.

Second - if your laptop falls off you are probably missing the rubber feet on the bottom of your laptop that should provide the traction to keep it on. I only had my laptop slide off once and that was because the power cord was under one corner of the the laptop so the rubber feet were not in contact.

The only real drawback is that there isn't room to use a mouse.

"Deal" voted cold. Same price as I paid just after Christmas. No previous price to compare against.

The table however, although I initially had reservations (so we only bought 1 of them instead of the 3 we needed at the time), is acting as a TV-dinners table for our kids, a homework table (ditto), and when they've all gone to bed, a laptop table for me (on occasion).

I thought the locking screw that allows the table top to raise & lower would be a weak point & our kids would manage to break it very quickly, but alas no... i was proven wrong.

Darn kids! ;)

BFN,

fp.
