oooh mama!! This is HOT!! A little bit will go a long way. Refreshes the parts other sauces cannot reach. Come on, let us hear all the jokes but please heed the warning below.

The original hottest sauce in the universe! A great cooking ingredient for sauces, soups and stews. Also, strips waxed floors and removes driveway grease stains. Enjoy! WARNING: use this product one drop at a time. Keep away from eyes, pets and children. Not for people with heart/respiratory problems.

How could this be anything other than hot!
#3

Heat from me :)
#4
I love this, it is HOT I now keep a roll of toilet paper in the fridge!!!
#5
is this a sauce just for putting in stuff or does it have a chilli/curry flavour? just how hot is it? is it on the scovel scale? i can hack extra hot vindaloo's from take away.. how does this fair up against it?

This is way hotter than any curry, I put some on a slice of pizza and it put me away for about half hour. Tastes crap though

You can add a bit to your Chili for an extra KICK

Or you can put a bit on your pizza or on your chips.

Not much needed, if you can see it on your food, you will feel it ..

How does it stack up on a scale of 1 to 100 against Encona Hot chilli sauce (50) ?
#8
Got a bottle of this the other day - it destroys the Encona Pepper Sauce for hotness. A little dab on the finger is enough to start setting your tongue alight. It's tremendous. As someone has mentioned, the flavour isn't up to much though.

Wiki says: "It has been rated at 180,000 Scoville units[1], compared with 2,500-5,000 for Tabasco sauce"

I know a crazy woman who uses this as a dipping sauce.

You need to be careful when adding to dishes like chilli. I told my mother to add a "splash" to a pot of chilli. She added most of the neck of the bottle. The chilli was inedible as it was so hot.

good price for this.

If you rate Encona HOT Chilli Sauce as 50, then, on a scale of 1 to 100, this is around the 500 mark (that is not a typo). As someone has already pointed out, if you can see it on your food, you WILL feel it.

These sauces are NASTY!

The only thing they bring to your taste buds is heat, but zero flavour, well overpriced and dont get me started on the god awful name.. 'Daves' lol

The Jalapeno one is particularly rank... and the consistency is like scrotum pudding.

IMO BEST CHILLI SAUCES (and iv tried alot)

1) Encona Hot Sauce (flavour and heat)
2) Cholula (flavour is just awsome)
3) Piri Piri Xtra Hot (Nando's)
4) Tabasco sauce (especially Jalapeno variety- great on salad)

I lost nearly 24 hours of my life due to this sauce and a bet that less than a quarter of a teaspoon of this stuff would be easy to handle - it ain't!!

Ha ha...wish I had some witty comment to make  but sadly we were just at a bbq and all trying it out (on our food!)

This sauce is very hot - ideal for pub entertainment in small doses.....

If you want hotter, try Blairs 3 am reserve..... ;-)

Good price.

As 400degreez says - These sauces are NASTY.

If you want to burn the whole of your gastrointestinal tract, go ahead and use this. If you want heat and flavour that you can enjoy, don't waste your money on this. My assessment is based on my consumption of around 1 kilogramme of fresh, mixed chillies each month and I'm white!!:-D:giggle:

Since when did Dave Gorman start selling food? Oh, wait....

All for girls!

I dont know why people eat this crap. Its like people who eat Phaals and claim to like it.

Its not big and its not macho. Eating is supposed to be a pleasurable experience and this sort of thing is in no way, shape or form pleasurable.

A little background heat isnt a bad thing. Turning food into a molten inferno and then trying to eat it does as much damage to your body coming out as it did going in.

Encona is far too vinegary for my liking.

Dave's would,I imagine, be scorchingly hot.

...is ace! Wife makes a curry that is good for her, I add Dave's to bring it up to the spiceyness I prefer. Nothing to do with macho - I do the same if I'm eating on my own.

In Japan you can buy all sort of crisps, cheesey poofs and hula-hoops all with a similar hot, spicey flavouring. Took a pack into work, the reactions varied from rolling on the floor moaning to beating people off with a stick! It's all relative, like Marmite and blue cheese, some hate it, some love it.

Last year I bought a bottle for everyone as a Christmas Tree present (to make sure everyone had a bottle handy when we visit :w00t: )!

Definitely hot from me - where's Asda?

If you really want an endorphin rush buy some Dorset Nagas from tesco, they are only about 60p for 2. Eat them whole. Have an ambulance on standby. Better than morphine to be honest.

Childs play. try the dorset nagas from Tesco. Wear gloves when preparing them though. When I made a chilli sauce with these I had the pepper on my hands for days even after scrubbing them with a scouring pad . Everytime I rubbed my eyes it stung like hell.:-D

Dam you beat me to it foxtrck.

That chilli sounds awesome!

To quote from Wiki 'In 2009, Indian defense scientists claimed to have found a new place to use the chilies -- in hand grenades. The scientists aim to use the Chillies to control rioters to immobilize people without killing them.' Haha!
