just purchased a item for £14 off amazon and needed to make up a pound more for free delivery. Found this DVD for 99p seems really cheap, next cheapest is at play for £2.99

Review
No smoke, no mirrors. The street is his stage. David Blaine takes his astonishing, almost mystical performances to the streets of America. Hailed as the next Houdini, David Blaine's illusions have to be seen to be believed.

What? If you add this DVD to your basket, the total you would be charged is £2.45. What are you people on? :?

This isnt really posted as a "hot deal", but rather just a really good filler item for 99p. But the only sellers now appear to be marketplace sellers so that kinda kills this deal.
#12
Expired now in that case!

Back in stock. Look at the eye.

I'd like to see him jump off The Golden Gate Bridge..and survive. Now that would be a trick.

No smoke or mirrors perhaps - but lots of video cons, such as doing the levitation trick (lifting yourself up
on one foot at such an angle that your levitating foot hides the one on the ground): He does that trick in
front of apparently amazed people in a side street then later in the same street he has a crane lift him up
showing him a couple of feet off the ground. They cut back and forth between all shots and the viewer
thinks the people there are seeing him a few feet off the ground... Not sure if that trick is on this video but
it probably is. - I want my 99p back!

He was great at this stage before he disappeared up his own ( . )

Yeah, he's not bad but he's no Paul Daniels that's for sure.

Heh. The "git-wizard" himself, as Marcus Brigstocke might say...

Any ideas as to why he's holding a can of WD40 in the pic I just posted?

Perhaps that's just what happens to magicians in later life...they start getting their cards confused with lubricating products?

I got this for 50p in tescos a while back... it's not so much a bargain as a budget dvd to begin with.

I agree with farbuckle, once you find out how these tricks are done it makes it look rubbish. You don't go 'ahhhh thats really clever', because they're not, bits are edited out, camera trickery is used and actors are used. If thats what constitutes magic nowadays, it's a joke.
