This is the kind of attitude that's killing football. You sit in your armchair staring at the screen while listening to retired players by all means, but its no substitute for being at a ground whatever the team. I applaud any team that does this kind of deal.

Chill ya beans, Im a Liverpool fan, so why on earth would I choose to go and watch any other team over watching MY TEAM?? How dare I kill football by supporting my team!

I certainly wouldn't class an average attendance of 26,000 over the last few months as half full! You'll struggle to find a higher average gate in the championship. I expect it to be around that against Yeovil.

Hot. I'm a Leicester fan, but well done to the Derby board etc. for setting prices at what normal people can afford.
I think Leicester could learn from them... biggest joke of the season was when we had to pay £20 at home to Swindon in the cup. My ST is £525 a year in K1, which are not the most expensive seats in the ground either. There are a few higher price brackets - so £450 for the most expensive is good to hear. Rant over!

Just looking back on old posts, thanks for your kind words. Congrats on winning the premiership you deserved it ;)

Thats all they say to the Forest fans "We have high attendances". Yeah its because they give tickets away or sell them for really cheap.

Forest are massively in debt and running at a huge loss.
Derby are (in football club terms) running on a pretty even keel these days.

Derby do what it takes to fill their ground. Forest clearly don't.

How is that a bad thing? There's very little excuse for having a ground that's regularly half-full in my opinion. Derby should be applauded for it, not derided.

Then what happens when season ticket holders don't bother renewing because Derby constantly do deals like this for casual fans?

Well just this afternoon I renewed mine and my daugther's season ticket for next year.

£450 for the pair in the second highest seat category - so less than a tenner a game each so it's still cheaper than this deal, in a better seat and you get the convenience of the same seat guaranteed each week.

And as a ST holder I'd rather they did what they needed to in order to fill the ground than sit in a half-empty stadium.

Rammy I applaud season tickets at that price !
