Yodel are terrible wish amazon would stop using them, also hate amazon logistics, only ones I like are DPD as at least they give you a 1 hour window for delivery.

Best thing to do is get cctv, caught postman many times throwing my items over 6 foot gated area, cause he cant be bothered to buzz and wait, yet at sorting office they said many people complained about him yet he still works for them :/

So what you are saying is spend hundreds of pounds on getting a CCTV system installed, and see how the guy who abuses the parcels continue to work for that company?

I remember getting an early version of the deep fryer back in about 1980.
The thing was huge and had a large capacity too.
Over the subsequent decades I noticed how the newer versions were getting smaller to the point where it didn't look like they could cook more than one person's portion of chips (for example) at a time.

Anyone able to comment on the capacity of this in comparison to other fryers on the market?
Say you want to fry up a load of chips, would it do several people's worth in one hit?

Depends on how porky the people you are cooking for are :-)

Joking aside, chips wise I would say you could easily get a generous portion in for two people.

Make sure the oil is hot enough before you put any food in. The biggest mistake people make with a deep fryer is putting the food in before the oil is ready, when they do that the food soaks up the oil. When the oil is at the right temperature it should immediately seal the food thus minimising the amount of oil it will absorb.

A deep fryer is far from a 'healthy' way of cooking food however in moderation it will be okay.

Nope, as well as security it just helps to prove if parcel goes missing or damaged .....what happened.

Postman is behaving now so as long as he does then I want need to complain again.

Well to me cost of security is not that much to what I spend on my home.

And it does not even have to cost hundreds, someone may only have a small property and get it for under £100 , if they wish to install it themselves.

Ordered as i missed out on amazon deal ,,, then i did consider buying a healthy fryer but to wait 30mins+ on a machine that sounds like a hairdryer and pay £100 for the pleasure of it just put me right off lol.

I actually had the same problem as yodel delivered mine. Amazon refunded and the fryer did arrive 4 days after it was suppose to as i have prime.

Yodel's system showed as delivered aswell but it was marked as delivered incorrectly as it was sent from the correct depot to a wrong depot who marked it as delivered and then finally transferred it back to the correct depot a few days later for delivery.

Informed amazon and they bassicly said no worries enjoy and sorry for the inconvenience. Free fryer lol

I've had a couple of "Total Clean System" fryers when they were still being sold under the Kenwood brand. They were great and easy to clean, and I would have bought a third if they hadn't stopped doing them with a basket you could lift without opening the lid.

My last one failed after I put the tub in the dishwasher a couple of times, having previously always washed the tub by hand (I think because it was bulky and aluminium and was easy to wash by hand anyway).

The dishwasher tablet appeared to have attacked the rubber seals between the power pins on the element and its case which was welded to the bottom of the tub on mine. (the removable non-washable part contained the thermostats and overheat cut-out). So if they're still using rubber seals be careful what dishwasher powder/tablets you use.

No you're thinking of the Rotofry that is made by the same people that has the rotating basket. I've got a Rotofry. They use just over a litre of oil. I think a Rotofry is a better buy. :-)

How often do people use theres and what do they cook? Do restore oil to reuse later?

My fryer is new and I've used it three times. Made falafel, chips and southern fried chicken. Bottled and reused the oil for all three. :-)

Something fishy going on.

Used first time yesterday feted chips good in 5-7 mins, easy to clean as all parts separate, will only cook enough chips for 2 people I'd say but that's fine a good buy for £30

I have a tefal and would choose it over deep fat anytime. house/clothes dont stink of fat. yes it takes a bit of time but u can leave it unattended with the timer on and do something useful. and 1 spoon of oil as apposed to lumps of lard

Funnily, we bought one last week after the Black Friday bonanza. It's ace!!! Best chips ever :)
