I had a look for slaley hall on the 1st september and you can get a deluxe double for the £99 which is a good price. Just wish I had the money to treat my wife.
:?
Think you have to choose from the five star hotels not the normal ones. This is on the left when you click link.

And the de vere luxury hotels are top drawer - 99 quid for deluxe room with a bottle thrown in is a bargain. But as a top hotel you will be paying top prices while your there but all worth it in my opinion.

I stayed in a 4 star De Vere at Shirrell heath (supposedly near Southampton) last week. Self rated 4 star - more like 2*, poor accommodation, out in the sticks, good breakfast (but ran out of key food items and could not replace them) yet accommodation of a lesser quality than a Travelodge. Felt more like jolly old fashioned Butlins - rooms are all arranged as in army barracks. Hope other De Vere hotels offer better quality than this one - cannot recommend it therefore. No sense of luxury. Voted COLD. (I paid Laterooms.com £54.50 for a room rated as £160.00 - even at this price it felt like a rip off - if I had paid £160 I would have been very sad).

Interestingly, Laterooms.com failed to show my review of the hotel on their site - I shall ignore their reviews in future as they show only positives.

De vere hotels and devere luxury hotels are two completley different ball games - the ten or so luxury ones are all spot on . . .

The Southampton one was billed as 4 star luxury. Not so. Cannot really believe it to be true of other De veres, I'm afraid. The poor organisation of the one I stayed in must come from somewhere - the De vere management structure must be at fault to allow such poor standrads to come about, so I shall choose from other hotels in future where available and expect to get the service I have come to expect of 4 or 5 star hotels.

I tried Cameron House (Loch Lomond). Min price I could get was £199.

I have been there before. Nice, but very expensive meals.
