Nice find, cant get it to work though, even after submitting code and making phone calls.Says there is availabilty at £30 but when booking its not that price. After a phone call to De Vere was told there is usually a minimum stay of 2 nights. :o Oh well good if you can find a babysitter for 2 nights! Voted hot!

webiste T&C
When sharing an adults room a maximum of 2 children per booking can stay. A child is classed as 0-5yrs. Children aged 6-14 will be charged £5 when sharing with parents. There will be no charge for cots or extra beds for children

I booked for one night, though it says the following night is available when you go through booking it states there are no rooms available

Nice one - booked Greenwich for my wife's birthday in September. Thanks so much.:)

PS Had to ring reservations has internet was indicating no availability.

Not a bad deal remember as a tourist the Venue hotels are geared up for corperate visitors .The showers in some of the rooms are very small if you are a larger broader geust like me forget it!
#17
what an utterly useless web site !

Gave up on it.
#18
I booked Barony Castle near Peebles. Got a family room for £30 online.

Either copy and paste instead of clicking, or click and then remove the extra "http//" that it's putting in at the start of the URL.

I'm sure some of these are great bargains and I've nothing against de Vere hotels but do bear in mind that these are conference hotels normally booked on a price per attendee basis. The headline 'normal price per room' is, I reckon not much more than window dressing. When conference business is slack they try to fill the rooms with paying punters, presumably recouping costs in the bars and restaurants.

I'd advise checking reviews on www.Laterooms.com before booking.

I have stayed at the one at Thoebalds Park, and you are right, these are conference hotels. The rooms was nice, although very dated. Bar was fine, grounds were nice.

However, these places can be very quiet and often remotely placed. If you plan go exploring the local areas by car, then you will enjoy the places, if you want atmosphere, you may want to look elsewhere.

I do recommend a look on Tripadvisor before you book.

Agreed, their website is cr*p. But it does say that the availability on the calendar is 6 hours behind actual reservations. Try hitting on available dates until you strike lucky.

Agree with some posters that the DeVere Venue are geared towards corporate customers but from experience I stayed in the Uplands at High Wycombe last year and although my stay was only a Saturday night the stay was thoroughly enjoyable. The rooms are probably on the smaller side but are clean and come with all the amenities of more expensive hotels. I am looking to stay again for one night in Sept and at £34.50 for B&B that is a bargain
#33
This is quite a good deal.
#34
Voted cold. Can't find any rooms available at the advertised price at any hotels.
#35
Im gutted, I booked a De Vere hotel in Reading a week ago. Although it cost me £45, the saving of £15 would of been dinner.

Anyway, great deal and heat added :-) xx
