It's not but The Royal Bath is in Bournemouth which IS in Dorset!:whistling:

I stay here twice a month by choice. It is a very nice hotel.
#14
Seems to be £59 per person - for our family of 4 a two night stay is still a fortune. Regret voting hot now...
#15
So this is fee is per person is it and not per room which hotels normally charge by? That being the case, then they know during the holiday periods no one is going to want to stay alone and they are in fact making far more on the room.
#16
Was really shabby when we stayed there! Hope it's re-vamp has been done well.
#17
I've just booked a Friday & Saturday night for me and the wife in early February and total cost including breakfast shows as £118 so the £59 rate IS per room. H&R added.

I've not stayed there for a few years, but I used to think it was a typical seaside top hotel. It had seen better days, but still retained a certain grandeur.

There are some deals on there for weekends and for familys - keep trying. I've got a weekend in March for the 4 of us and it's £118. If we can manage to have dinner early on as well with the nippers, it'll be a great deal.. We'll have to take a blow-up Thomas bed for the 3 year old, and the travel cot for the 1 year old, but still - be nice to have walks on the beach and use the pool and all that.

Edit - got the upgrade for a bigger bed and room with a sea view - £138.

Awful reviews on Trip Advisor and it is in Bournmouth

I can't find anything under £79 and most Fri/Sat come in at £112

Managed to book Sat 31st Jan for 69.00 (extra tenner for a sea view). Happy with the deal of a double + full English.

I spent the night in the Southampton De Vere hotel and it was amazing. For a standard room we got the following:

Amazing luxury room
Free gym
Free swimming pool, sauna, steam room, jacuzzi
Free massage and facials etc
You could have just about anything but food & drink for free.

Fair enough the room would have cost £175 per night but seeing as we got 70% discount it was pretty good  I'll be heading there again when I've got the cash so I can experience the suite!

Yes, but they are mostly very positive. 7.7 out of 10 for a 4 star hotel, with complaints about when they were being refurbished which is now complete. I live in hotels during the week and this is my favourite. There's no accounting for taste.
