I wouldn't say they sold out the £10 rooms, I would say they have nearly doubled the prices for exactly the same rooms on exactly the same dates.
#3
Heat added but sadly none near me :x

I've seen these deals before, they're okay if you don't mind staying in a hotel more geared up to business meetings or conferences etc..
De Vere can do much better, eg Cameron House, but what a surprise....no deals there!

Very true, the waiting list for cameron house for staff is about a year, its a beautiful place ! For a more family orientated hotel, they do village hotel and leisure clubs which are a bit more family friendly.

I WANT to book a room in Milton Keynes for 13 Feb as I'm going to the theatre that night to see a musical. But the hotel's FULL. I live 100 miles away, anyone know any other good cheap hotels?
#29
Wow, thx :)

Heat added :)

Yeah MK is a ****hole but Wycombe is an even bigger one, lived in Wycombe and dated someone from MK. Lived in Wycombe all my life until I could afford to buy a little slum in Essex to get away from it all!

Good deal though, might grab a Wycombe one for when I visit the family before Christmas. Heat added

Ok, so Wycombe town centre isn't the best place to be, but then again most of the large commuter towns arround the M25 are just the same. However it is smack in the middle of the Chilterns "area of outstanding beauty". There are many lovely towns in the area like Amersham, Beaconsfield, Marlow, Henley and Wendover. Add to this villages like Hambledon, Turville, Fingest, Penn, Missenden, West Wycombe, Hampden and many others.
Ok I'm biased because I live there, but then again I've traveled to most of the rest of the UK, and there are definitely much worse places to live.

is it the same price for kiddies?

I think they charge more for kids, as they take longer to cook than bacon, eggs, etc

And the actual venue(uplands) is well out of the town and in a fairly nice location, old building with modern extensions.

[COLOR=Olive]I've just booked 2 consecutive nights seperately, one for £10 and one for £19 in the Cheadle Hotel nr Stockport on the 22nd and 23rd December. I tried to book two nights together and it returned £59 a night = £118.

Hope this helps someone.

If coming by car the travelodge at Marston, Bedford, usually has lots of cheap rooms (ok i live round corner). Is about ten minutes from MK, 20 in the rush hour lol! food is little chef but a 2 minute walk into the village gives you a decent chippie and indian restaurant,
#39
Just to note the Milton Keynes hotel is actually in Newport Pagnell, which makes it a good 5 miles from the shopping centre, though Newport Pagnell high street is 5 mins walk away, And while I agree MK is a hole, NP is a very nice place :) as I live round the corner. If you chose to stay here though, please can you drive in the entrance for the car park, not the exit :) as I have seen loads do. Its not very well sign posted.

Happy Christmas :)

Great banter in this thread lol. Got the £10 deal a couple of weeks ago for Peebles in Feb. Looking forward to it and the whole extended family have got rooms and are going too.
