If you've got the opportunity to play Dead Rising on 360 instead, do it.

why do people keep comparing them, the wii version is good, and the 360 version is bound to be different. Enough.
Heat added.

Thanks  can't see anythign wrong with how the Wii version looks, infact it looks better than I expected. 360 version will of course look better.

However that doesn't distract from the fact that both look boring as hell, disappointing really Left4Dead kills this lol

Hardly comparable consoles are they?

It'll never end though.

The reason the Wii version is not as good, is because they stripped out loads of functionality from the 360 version, thus making it a very different game (Wii version is based on the Resident Evil 4 Wii engine, so that explains a lot).

As a Wii owner, I was gutted when I heard about this, as the original is great fun. I'm giving it a miss on the Wii, as it won't be as fun to play.

Does it still have tiny writing on screen?I found it rock hard to try and read the dialog on the 360 version, does anyone know if its as bad on this?

After watching the video comparison, you can see the differences between the two. We all know the graphics ain't gonna be HD like the 360. Noted. But not really a concern for gameplay. However, didn't anyone notice the scale of the Wii version is much smaller than the 360 scenes? Look at the part where the guy goes into an alleyway filled with zombies. On the Wii, it looks very tight and narrow, only a few zombies across. On the 360, it's like you could fit 10 zombies side to side to fill that area across. That's not good. So, the scale's different.

Also, notice the gore's been totally pulled back for the Wii? The samurai blade's fun on the 360, chopping up the zombies. But on the wii, I only saw an arm get chopped off. What's that all about?

What a shame to hear and see of these changes. I played it on my friend's 360 and had always wished to try it myself. Here it is for the Wii. But after seeing the changes, it feels different. Graphics mean less, but if the gameplay dynamics and feel are altered, that changes fundamental parts of the playing element. Oh well...

imdurc - limitations of the Resident Evil 4 engine coming to light here. Particularly the limited number of zombies and isn't there an issue with jumping too? As in, you can't?
