I've recently gotten back into PC gaming; would someone be able to tell me either of these game support the Xbox controller? I was pleasantly excited to see that Arkham Asylum (the only modern game in my Steam library) supported it, so i'm interested to know what other games do.

yes, both support the 360 pad. that's the way i played them.

I found that they actually played better with the xbox controller - although the M&K controls on Dead Space 2 were an improvement over the first.

aw sweet. Have DS 1 for the 360, and always wanted to play the second. Nice!

Love or hate the franchise, I know many do. I'm in the Love camp. :)

(Played DS1 on X360, and DS2 on both X360 and PS3. Am thinking of revisiting the franchise on PC now. :) )

    HOT!!! :)

Downloading it through steam now. Played the original on the PS3 but as it involves shooting while moving I think it is better suited to the Keyboard / Mouse playstyle of a PC.

    Voted HOT

excellent, been waiting on ds2 for less than a fiver, new to this steam malarky though - anyone give me an overview? Abandoned pc gaming with the launch of the 360 and getting back into it now.

Xpadder works good for games which don't support gamepads. Just download some profiles online from their website.

Also, any GFWL game supports gamepad, excluding most RTS games.

Midweek deal - so probably still available Friday until circa 6pm when they post the weekend deals. Don't quote me on that though

So steam - can i d/l to my laptop and desktop?

Bought last time , 2 excellent games that are well worth the money.

good games the both, though i agree that they played better with pad - sound of a pc and fumbling over buttons kinda ruins the immersion.

nerd187 - it's a midweek so deal will run till 6pm thursday (often an hour or 2 longer usually)

capriboy - steam is the PC gaming god. all your games in one place, amazingly cheap sales and massive selection backed with support, forums and cloud saves. playing games needs you to be connected to internet but it does have an offline mode and it is more helpful than intrusive (looking at you GFWL). only gripe i have is no custom install paths - when you have close to 300 games on steam as i do it tends to fill up your designated harddrive.

you can use the same account on laptop and desktop, other than a handful of games that use third-party DRM i am not aware of any problems with installs on multiple computers, but only 1 person can be logged into that steam at a time and you will obviously need to be logged in to use any multiplayer/updates/cloud saves.

Google "Steam Mover" - it lets you move games you already have installed to a different drive, works flawlessly.

Great price but I still haven't started the first one yet.
