Unlike the first game, this runs flawlessly on the PC, a far better port this time around. I wouldn't say it's less scary than the first game, though you can often predict when those poo-your-pants moments are coming after having played the first. Overall the game has far higher production values and a better story-line than the first. I can't wait for the third installment (Feb 2013?).

Voted hot, easily worth £5.

Don't want to start a flame war but bad how? I thought the outer space & zero g levels were excellent.

Tbh i havent properly played dead space 2, only did the first 2 chapters, but i just found it so repetitive and generic, its not scary at all and thats one thing i want from a horror game, and all you do through out the game is shoot a necromorphs legs off then stomp its head off. just too boring i found :)

EDIT: Oh, and i did play about %85 of the first game, so im not just making a hasty judgement, i always give games a chance

if you still have your copy you should persevere, the last chapter is pretty scary, don't want to give too much away but there's a different type of necromorph
