Just picked up Dead Space 2 (Limited Edition) on the PS3 @ my local Morrisons in Beccles for £34.99.

The limited edition features an HD remastered version of Dead Space: Extraction, which was released on the Wii with critical acclaim. It is now sold seperately on the PSN store for £11.99.

They also had the 360 version for the same price, but obviously there is no limited edition for 360.

you should probably say that it's the limited edition in your title and also write what is included in the limited edition
#2
Thanks for the tip, this is my first deal but have included the info...
#3
Well that seems hot for the PS3 version at least. Any idea of other supermarket prices today? I am after it on Xbox

The first game was good but rapidly fell in price. This one will too.

I would say this, the first game was released in a very busy window with lots of bigger better known games all within a couple of weeks of it (G.O.W2, Fallout 3, Saints Row 2 and Fable 2) so naturally the sales were poor and so the price dropped. This time with it coming out in the always quiet Jan/Feb and that it has good reviews and a larger fanbase I see it holding its value and selling well.

Just my opinion obviously

I would imagine because the 360 doesnt have any input devices which could mimick the Wii Remote. Whilst the PS3 version can be played with std controller I believe, its best with the Playstation Move.

might be a valid point for xbox but lots of games on ps3 lately which are soon out or dropping in price (AC3, KZ3, ME2, DS2, LBP2.......)
#11
I want this game but will wait for it to drop in price.
#12
This seems like a regular price for a new game.

£25-30 would have been good.

Too scary :|
#14
What makes it so scary? Are you scared for your character or the game has scary visuals? Would it be less scary if you didn't care how many times your character died?

What a ridiculous comment.

I wonder if this is just a PS3 exclusive at the moment but comes out on XBLA at later date (like the Grand Theft Auto episodes but in reverse)

I hope so, I liked this game on Wii and would love to play it in HD

Eh, I got the PC version for £19.99 at TheGameCollection.net.

Mate, the post chrimbo pre easter period is a renowned dumping ground for games that were too small or crap to sell well at christmas but aint good enough for a spring/summer release either. Dead Space 2 will drop like a fly thats been smacked with a copy of the dead space 1 developement code book.

Christ its already on offer and it aint even released yet. As soon as you buy it the trade in value will be 20 quid - this means a preowned resale of about 32-ish less than a month after release. And plenty of people will buy it, play it (like it or loath it) then trade it in...... Seriously, dont waste your cash on release date.

Do

yup. Nothing holds its vlaue for very long anymore since everything thats mass market is pretty much on a yearly release cycle (except the blockbusters)

christ Pro Evo 2008 = 90p in blockbuster - 90p for gods sake. practically free.

Even blockbusters after 6 months drop - Reach = about 20 quid now and thats bungies last hurrah as well!

Don't see point in playing an on rail shooter without a gun personally
#27
Found the first game a bit tedious, but then I'm not keen on third person playing really...
#28
Extraction isn coming to 360 as its a WII HD PORT. Hence being playable with the premium console. PlayStation Move.

Not no fagboy60 kinect your balls to a goat lol

Can you play the extraction game with a normal controller?

Yeah you can but as someone already said, it's not really the same as playing with Move.
#31
Great game as was the original. I Just got it from Shopto personally and it was delivered 2 days ago for the 360 for £36 but there you go....

Yet to play the first but a good price on release day... +1 from me

Where the hell did the Collectors Edition get to for 360! With the model plasma cutter and some other crap??

I emailed HMV as they're the direct link from the EA site and it wasn't there, so they said they have no record of it on their database, and try something called "google". What an asshat, don't you think I tried that!
#34
HMV did sell it (got my CE yesterday) but they sold out. Ordered mine mid December before it got taken off the website. Plasma Cutter is not v good, small and cheap.
#35
Isn't this like RE5 but sh1 tter? Ya get me, innit.

Surely we can get Curry's to price match this if the store is within 30 miles?
