Dead Space 2
Isaac Clarke returns for another heart-pounding adventure, taking the fight to the Necromorphs in this thrilling action-horror experience. New tools to gruesomely slice and dismember the Necromorphs complement Isaac's signature plasma cutter, empowering him as he meets new characters, explores epic Zero-G environments, and fights against a relentless Necromorph onslaught. Survival isn't the only thing on Isaac's mind in Dead Space 2 - this time, he calls the shots!

I've already got this, it is AWESOME!

Not sure if the link if working, it is on my ebay home page though

Good price for an excellent new release - be aware though that this edition doesn't include Extraction which many will want, especially due to its Move support
#4
Heat added great price on xbox

limited edition is £37.99 on amazon if anyones interested..personally i'm gonna wait a bit longer (y)

Just goes to show that within 2 weeks of a games launch you can pick it up for around the £30 mark.

Me personally. I'm going to wait about another few weeks to a month before picking this up. By that time I'm hoping it will have dropped to the £25 mark. Either way, Hot deal!

For those who are insanely tight, you can save a whole penny by buying from their Ebay outlet - http://tinyurl.com/684w3b8

As your mother always told you, "Look after the pennies and the pounds will look after themselves" ;)

The original plumetted quickly - I paid 5.99 from Sainsbury's online (albeit after a number of months), and promptly left it on my shelf with lots of other unopened classics. Anyhow, should continue drop. Great price now though.

Really good game, it only takes about 6 hours to finish though and it's cheaper (and surely better graphics/controller?) for PC
#10
i mainly buy pc games the going rate for these are around the £30 mark

i only buy games £10 or less and most i will only buy for £5 or less

and you wouldnt belive how many reduce to this price in a month or two

next month there is
shogun 2
rift
dawn of war 2

plus some others all out within 5 days

but one of these will be less than £15 in the month

and by the next month one will be less than £10

dont buy games when they are too much

just wait they will get the message and its not like your not going to be able to get it in a month

and the best thing about this is you always have new games
as game which came out before xmas are now being reduced so your not missing out just getting more games for your money

I saw the trailer for this and the graphics looked terrible for a game of this year, was it just a bad trailer?

I hope so. Looks pretty swanky on PC 8)

Limited edition is worth it, got it from zavvi for £32 with a zavvi code, still playing with Extraction which is great with Move, then I'll jump onto the main Dead Space 2 game. I heard also their will be another DLC coming soon, more missions and story, so a good solid purchase after all for survival horror fans....until Resident Evil 6 arrives!

I didn't see the trailer, but the game looks amazing.
#19
Finished the game and it is amazing if a little bit irritating at times, to truely enjoy it you need a dark room big HD tv with surround sound. its the only game to ever make me jump and thats all down to the quality of the sound track in my opinion
#20
also got about 13 hours out of it so more than most i find the average is about 6 hours. I did have it set to hard though.
#21
good price, so tempting, heat added

will wait a few weeks until its sub £20

got the demo and hated it. good if you know you like the game though
#24
I bought the original for £20+. Feel like a sucker now it's less than a tenner. So I am waiting for this one to drop to less than £10 before I purchase.
#25
Really good game! got the first one on launch and bought the limited edition for the second one, worth every penny!

Good price, nice find
#26
Seems a top game but will will wait a month or two till its £17.99 im done with buying ps3 games for full price then 2-3 months there sub £20
#27
Wow good price!

Anyone know where I can get the original for 360 sub 10 quid??
#31
Awesome price, heat added. Personally I'm going to wait just a little bit more, I'm sure it'll hit £25ish shortly but being double on 360, I expect a bit more resistance to the price in the £20s.

This game is truely excellent on the PC, very atmosphric and scary. Has a touch of the orginal resident evil about it.

As for people commenting on the graphics being bad, ALL console graphics are bad! But what do you expect from antiquated 5year old hardware. (Nvidia7000series/PS3 - X1950/Xbox360 - correct me if i am wrong)

Good (current) price but I'll wait for the Limited Edition to go sub £25, prob before Easter

I'd rather "bad" (and I use those quotation marks strongly) graphics than have to shell out £200+ every year and contend with more bugs and poorly supported DLC.

Each to their own. Quality, in all aspects of life, costs.

I wouldn't consider quality to be where half the games completely lack any type of DLC and usually exhibit many more bugs than their console counterparts. PC gaming definitely has it's benefits in the graphics departments, but it's not a win-win situation.

software is software, buggy or not its entirely dependant on the devolper and can be fixed post release if required. Old, outdated hardware is exactly that and in console form cannot be easily updated.

I take issue with the orginal post questioning the graphics quality on a console release, you cannot polish a **** (or in this case, even roll it in glitter) the graphics quality of games for consoles have and always will be limited by the hardware on which they operate, which is without exception antiquated by the time of release simply due to R&D/fabrication time.

For a bit of social pad mashing you cannot beat a console for its simplicity and fun, however in terms of "true quality" - PC games (even ported ones - see COD Black ops) are leauges ahead of their console counterparts, a trend that started with EGA graphics and is set to conitune for the foreseeable future. Still a great game and a hot deal though, which is what this site is all about :)

I no longer pay more than a tenner a game, the first one went down to a tenner very quickly and I guess that this will do the same.

Same here (just blew a whole £9.99 on Borderlands from play) but I think you're being very optimistic if you think this will be a tenner anytime soon as it's now an established "franchise".

The first was quality - the only thing that hampers DS sales is that the games are sh*t scary !
