Single-player gaming has never been so terrifying in this spatter-tastic deep space slaughter.
A huge mining ship, the USG Ishimura, encounters a mysterious alien object that cuts off its communications with Earth. Top engineer Isaac Clarke is sent to repair its comms system, but he arrives to find that the crew has been unspeakably mutilated and infected by an ancient alien plague.
Now Clarke must struggle to survive as he tries to return the strange alien object from whence it came.
With a core mechanic of strategic dismemberment of aliens, this is survival horror at its most gory. Enemy aliens are so resilient that not even the traditional head-shot will stop them. Couple this with a scarily effective audio backing, and you have yourself a major, bloody panic in outer space. Take heart though, because your ability to upgrade weapons increases as you progress through the game. You'll also learn how to manipulate gravity with Havok physics to solve puzzles and fight enemies.
Suitable for players aged 18 years and over.
