Great show and just dropped by £4 in price. Ian McShane is a legend in this.

HBO delivers another stunning, evocative drama in DEADWOOD. The channel has an impressive reputation when it comes to producing edge-of-your-seat television (THE SOPRANOS, SIX FEET UNDER), and DEADWOOD follows neatly in that tradition. Set in 1876, the story unfolds just two weeks after the defeat of Custer at Little Big Horn. The town of Deadwood is located in the Black Hills Indian Cession, and is populated largely by illegal settlers and miscreants looking to make a quick buck. Among them are Al Swearengen (Ian McShane), who owns the local saloon; Seth Bullock (Timothy Olyphant), a former law enforcer; and the infamous Wild Bill Hickok (Keith Carradine). Some awesome acting combines with intricate storylines, absorbing direction, and some impressive sets to make DEADWOOD another essential series from the HBO stable.

I believe the correct response is:

Yee f***ing ha!

Cheers,

Ian McShane's monologue at the end of one of the episodes was a highlight. Chatting away while one of his girls tried not to use her teeth... (might not have been this series though, get the feeling it was later).

Yet to get around to watching this show, but going by reviews this is a lot of entertainment for under a tenner!

Amazing series. For me, though, it failed to follow it up.

They were probably watching Lost, or some other execrable drivel.

Such as shame this wasn't watched by most people. The greatest show ever, and one of few that gets better with each season. I still hold hope that one day they will make that one off feature length finale.

Agreed. They tore the set down though which is a shame.
Olyphants latest show isn't that good either. He was very good in this though.
