The newer 40W4000 costs around the same price and is a much better television than this.

If you were to look around I think you'll find the 40W3000 for sale at a much lower price even taking Quidco into account!

HD digital tuner? I thought you needed a sat dish to pick up HD over the air broadcasts?

It is possible to pick up an HD signal with some Sony sets, just not in the UK currently as the service has not be verified so the tuner in this set could become obsolete with regard to HD channels!
