Was online BRAND NEW for £19.95 last week too, but since PS3 games are unscratchable anyway it makes no difference wether its used or not :D

Popped down there eariler and there was some really great deals.
#3

#4

#5
I cant find the heavy rain deal, am I missing something as I can only find it at £39.99
#6
I've had Heavy Rain before and loved it. Wish I didn't get rid of it. But for that price and the additional Move support being added soon, I think I'll buy it again. Thanks. Heat added.

My local had about 6 copies of this pre-owned, but when I went to buy it they'd all disappeared. Can't find it anywhere nearby.

Worthing had about 50 copies of Heavy Rain and loads of Fallout 3 (tenner, not a great price), MAG at £17.95 and something else too but cant think what.
#12
Just phoned my local branch, they have said that it is indeed this price, but it is for used copies only. New copies are still full price!
#13
Blockbuster in Cheadle Hulme have about 10 or more of Heavy Rain
Got the last copy of MAG.
These are both pre-owned. Thanks OP.
Son didn't want to wait for the possible ASDA offer on Heavy Rain..
#14
What possible ASDA offer?
#15
hot! :D
#16
Hot! Don't know about MAG but Heavy Rain is definitely worth it. I did it was better as a rental but at this price, it's too good to miss.
#17
Heavy Rain is easily the best game I have played this year, the only close contender being Mass Effect 2 and is probably my number 1 game of all time.
#18
So, hang on a minute. I may have just got back from the pub and not be reading/understnading this thread too well but are we talking new or used games here?

If its new, then its an excelent price for Heavy Rain.
#19
I think someone mentioned it was used in a comment above
#20
i really want this game, probably get it later on.

Snap, confusing thread and post! So is it £19.95 for a preowned copy instore op?
#22
Bargain for the best FPS of the gen.

Bargain for an amazing game aswell.
#23
Can OP confirm if there's was used or not please? And are PS3 games really unscratchable??

PS3 games are not unscratchable.

Is this for a new or used game as that makes all the difference?

Why have you used a pic of heavy rain with the price of £17.95 very misleading.

Poor show overall.
#25
This is used, you can tell as it is in the deal of the week. (And was posted a couple of weeks ago as being part of it. Was popular so they rolled it over for last week and possibly the next week as well). It may however have gone up today as i've not seen this weeks new deals.
#26
OP should state USED. Misleading title.

PS3 games are not unscratchable.

Blu-Rays are far more durable and don't scratch any where near as easily as Cds or Dvds. I buy a few used games and not one of them contains a scratch. I remember buying used PS1 and PS2 games and they would be plastered in marks and scratches.

True mate. Handy to know don't have to worry as much buying used PS3 games.

My local BlockBusters said this was the deal of the week until tomorrow (16/07) - they've taken all the pre-owned copies of the shelf in readiness for putting them out as the deal of the week tomorrow....

Luckily I managed to reserve x1 of the x4 pre-owned copies they've got for collection tomorrow :)

note: above should read 'My local BlockBusters said this wasn't the deal of the week until tomorrow (16/07)'

XFile, can you update and let us know whether you got a copy the day after you posted?

I went into my local Blockbuster today and the only copies they had were pre-owned for £27.99.

It wasn't in the Deal of the Week section.

When I asked the guy behind the counter, he said the Deal of the Week changes every Friday (so it changed yesterday).

I mentioned what I read on here and he checked the system - he then told me that it *was* part of Deal of the Week *last* week. So, I missed it by a day. :(

Anyway, that's what I discovered today - seems to be some confusion in this thread, especially as XFile has apparently been informed by his Blockbuster that it's part of the Deal of the Week from yesterday until next Friday (23rd).

Deal of the week is over now, price back to £27.99, so marking as expired
