ordered a ceramic scraper about ten days ago and still not delivered I think I had a email saying it had been despatched but I have deleted it so havnt got a reference number
They break very quickly. They lose time or just turn on and off by themselves without the timer. I've had two - these are garbage
I'm sure these are £3.99 in my local B+Q...can't see an online link to them though,
I have realised it is only chrome that breaks, IE works fine.

Ni-cad batteries don't hold charge well, so when you need to use it the battery will be flat. Li-ion are a much better option. I'd go for this instead.

My 7.2v li-ion Parkside one from Lidl cost £20 not so long ago.
They may have some left over stock if anyone is passing
Decent price for what it is but 4.8 volt is useless for all but the smallest screws in the softest wood

Salter Glass Body Fat Analyser Bathroom Scale 9141 £10.00 @ amazon

These scales were reduced in my local Asda store in Chester to a bargain £10. I checked Amazon and they were coming up for around £25. Amazon have now also decided to reduce them to a bargain £10.

To get an accurate body fat reading you need to wet the bottom of your feet.

I was going to return mine as I thought they were broken .. but then tried them after a shower and they work fine...

It'd be handy if they mentioned something like that in the manual (not that I ever read the things)... LoL

Out of stock :(
When I say 50% I mean of the value given, eg 10% bf is shown as 15%, 20% is shown as 30% according to the scales

They've dropped to £10 now. Sent Amazon an email asking if they could refund the difference and to my surprise, they honoured it (only £2 I suppose)!

What makes you say that?

Medical Bioelectrical impedance analysis machines can and did (no longer widely used) give inaccurate readings of up to 20% from the actual individuals body fat.

I highly doubt a machine made for a couple of pounds would be more accurate!

Good value branded and im sure very accurate scales, junk body fat analysis.

If you want to know your bodyfat, you dont even have to spend this much, Get some body fat calipers for a few pounds online for an accurate reading.

Thanks for that info.

Received them today and I hope they are wrong now lol. BF% was quite high so ordered a set of calibers for a second opinion. The guy at the gym measured me as 17.4% BF last month so either he was sniffing glue and calculated me wrong or these scales are liers.

But suppose the scales would be good for keeping an eye on BF even accepting that the readings may not be accurate at least they will show you a trend. Would that be correct doc?

Unfortunately not. So many factors will make a big difference to the reading the scales will give (body fat only) dehydration levels, exercise, even eating. If you want to use them to identify a trend use them as soon as you wake every day. Your body's changing fluid levels may account for large swings.

17% from calipers is within a healthy range and you have nothing to worry about.
how accurate are these scales compared to the nameless brand ones you find for less than £20 from tesco/sainsburys/argos?

for the weighing part (not too fussed abt the fat analyser)
