Dear Esther (PC Download) - £1.74 @ Steam
Couldn't see it posted, so thought I'd share.
Dear Esther isn't a game as such. It's more like a story or experience.
Difficult to explain but couldn't put it down like a good book when it first came out.

Seems a good deal :)
Like the old game Myst?
Definitely worth it at this price.
For those who've not played it; you explore an island in first person view.
No guns, enemies, puzzles or anything, just walking around soaking up the story and atmosphere.

Not really, you have to do things in Myst which made it more of a game. With this you just walk around an island in a linear direction and the story unfolds as you do. There are no options to do anything though. It's like walking around Alcatraz with the audio headphones on. I spent the first five minutes trying to find my first puzzle until I realised it wasn't like Myst.

It's a typical 'innovative' indie game. Don't bother developing game mechanics and tack on some crappy abstract story.
That said probably worth a £1
At £6.99 it was probably a bit overpriced (for what you get)
I can't begrudge it too much though, as the cave sequence alone was fantastic, even in the ageing Source engine.
