Master director Quentin Tarantino (PULP FICTION) indulges his inner fanboy by paying homage to his favourite B-movies in DEATH PROOF. Stuntman Mike (Kurt Russell) stalks beautiful women with his deadly vintage car, but when he picks a trio of tough girls (Rosario Dawson, Tracie Thoms, and Zoe Bell), he learns they aren't such easy prey. As with any Tarantino film, there are plenty of nods to pop culture. Most of the scenes are deliberately short on plot development, the dialogue comes thick and fast throughout, and the film stock is often cleverly manipulated to perfectly replicate the B-movie aesthetic. DEATH PROOF was originally released as part of the GRINDHOUSE double feature with Robert Rodriguez's PLANET TERROR.

Odd film, loved it with hindsight but wasn't sure as I watched it. Watched this and deathproof as intended. Both great in their own right.

Quality film, paid £8.99 when it was first released and thought it was worth it then, billy bargain now!

this one will always divide people, but i love it.
pretty slow all the way through until the sudden action (no spoilers) in the first half and amazing end chase.
this version is slightly extended compared to the original double bill version too..

True enough.

Each to their own but like Marmite, I hated it. Two thumbs down.

I thought it was a pretty poor film myself.

Then again I'm not a typical british boy racer.

Eeeerr, it was American Muscle. The Challenger was paying homage to Vanishing Point. Nothing to do with Boy Racers and there Rice cars in Blackpool!:whistling:

I reckon it was rubbish.

I also wasn't impressed with the movie at all!

I really like Tarantino, but I thought this was truly awful. Made me regret buying it at all.

If you like the film I guess it's a hot price, but I wouldn't recommend it for people looking for a traditional 'Tarantino experience'.
