That's a really good price.
Think I will this myself.
#2
Why vote cold? when it appears to be one of the lowest prices around for the set.

Because they can.
This is what happens when you empower people and give them total freedom.
Proof that we need old school communism around here.

PKCP
#14
How do I get quidco 10% too ? (Never used before)
#15
SHX8 doesn't seem to work
#16
use SHD1 instead of SHX8 now - and don't forget that extra 10% :)
#17
Thanks, SHD1 worked, but the PKCP+ Quidco seems to be £8 off - is that right ?
#18
the PKCP will reduce it by 10% which is £8 yes

Quidco is a website.........www.quidco.com.

You need an account with quidco...and get cashback - worth doing at some point as in effect its free to use etc....and they offer 4% extra cashback through there if it tracks - search on quidco if you want more info on it :)

Cheers, Mid.
Bought the pans without telling wife. I'm 85% sure she was after Circulon pans (find out tomorrow !) our old ones are showing wear.

Meyer Circulon = good heat distribution, tough non-stick coating, easy to clean. I am very happy with mine.
The stainless ones look nice but you won't keep them shiny for long.

The Circulon pans are generally the better set. The non-stick application tends to be a lot thicker and more durable than in many other pans - thus lasting longer. The SS ones you're looking at will keep clean and shinely regardless of other comments (come on folks these are pans not mirrors FCS) but they are both good sets.

Note though the circulon pans will NOT work on an induction hob (if you have one) where as the SS ones will....

I paid £100 for this exact same set from Debs a few months ago. Excellent pans. And great value as I think the biggest one alone retails for £50+ ish.

I bought the biggest one for £50 from Debenhams 18 months ago. I am disappointed by the quality of its non stick. My 5 year old Tefal (£50 for the 5 piece set) has a better non stick coating on it even after 5 years, compared to this one. The no stick coating on this one is almost gone and food starts to stick on the surface while cooking. I am not convinced by the so called "quality" of these expensive pans.

cant see where to enter the 10% code... payment screen?!

found it at the start of the shopping bag

I am not going to vote cold. However I would not pay £80 for 4 saucepans never mind £200. In this financial climate that is just silly. What do you people get payed to fork out £80 on 4 saucepans?
#28
It's not £80 for 4 pans - but actually £72.00 delivered ...and then there's a further 4% off via quidco. So it's £69.12 delivered...for pans that'll last a good while & give great service.

The tin thin sets of pans from the likes of Argos are only good for camping.

These are also oa very good deal - we have anolon ones, and circulon (steel elite) ones and we prefer the anolon but that's only because the circulon ones have a steel outer which marks easily... these circulon ones appear not to have the same outer so may not have the problem!

Oh god I wouldn't go back to Tefal, the non stick coating has been terrible in all our old pans.

I don't mean to be pushy here but in my opinion (and experience), you should get the best pans you can afford/find for a good price as cheaper pans just don't last as long in my experience. They also don't seem to cook the food as evenly, which makes a big difference.

Considering a cheap tesco pan set is £25 roughly, I think this is great value as the Tesco ones have plastic handles that are prone to breaking, they're not safe for use in the oven or under a grill and I'd imagine would not last as long as one of these sets of pans that have a lifetime warranty.

However, I can see your point that it does appear a large outlay to spend £70 on some pans but I can honestly say that in my previous experience that buying cheap has meant buying about 3 sets due to them breaking and I just kept replacing them with the same kind, since I was still quite young and hadn't really thought that it would make that much difference. If I'd just spent that £70+ on one good set, instead of 3 cheaper ones then I'd have saved quite a lot.

+1. I totally agree. Buying a set of these is a really good money saving tip. They will last 10+ years as well as being much nicer to use than cheap saucepans.
#35
Can't find them on Debenhams now, must have sold out they are on amazon for £80 with £3.99 shipping.
#36
They're still on there, follow the deal link. x

Cheers bigsky. x
