Having looked at Dell this month, there are no decent laptop deals at all. I mean who wants a free printer really? Is that the best they can do?
Well, Currys seem to be offering some very good branded new laptops with a full 12 month warranty at prices that Dell cannot currently beat. This one, by Advent, for example is both available online and instore, and I have been told there is plenty of stock.
The great thing about this laptop is that it is ultra slim and comes with a whole 1GB RAM as one stick (instead of two seperate 512MB ram). This is great as to upgrade you just put in another 1GB stick instead of buying 2 whole 1GB sticks.
It also has a built in wifi, card reader, dvd writer, and a decent screen.
At the same price you can even get a more powerful T5200 or T5500 dual core processor Toshiba at currys.
Much better than anything Dell has to offer right now, especially when you consider the 12 month warranty.
Also don't forget Quidco, and any discounts for using a specific credit card like Morgan Stanley (if that works).
The last thing that you want to buy is a Celeron processor, and there's so many of those around at the £399 price bracket. Forget those the celeron is not worth buying even at £200 in my opinion.
