Full Description

The oil spray pump ensures that the oil is spread evenly across the food as it fries. The fryer uses as much as 85% less oil thanks to this amazing invention. This feature also serves to cut costs (saving money on oil and energy). The grill plate only needs 4 minutes to heat up (15 minutes in a standard fryer). The Eco Shower Deep Fryer uses less energy and saves money, thanks to the shorter total frying time. The fryer is also safer because less oil is used.

The lid comes complete with a safety switch that automatically deactivates the spray system as soon as the lid is opened. The electronic timer automatically turns off the deep fryer. The fryer pan has a 3 litre capacity and only requires 0.5 litres of oil. This makes changing the oil very simple. You save 30 litres per year this way.

This is a Unique, patented deep fryer with oil spray system.

Can be completely dismantled for easy cleaning and the removable inner pan is dishwasher-safe. The LCD display shows the temperature, the frying time and the remaining frying time and has a very accurate temperature setting. The lid has odour and grease filters and a viewing window.

The fryer can also be used without the oil spraying system, as a 3-litre deep fat fryer.

any reviews on this .

I'm guessing the spray system won't work with batter etc as it will drip off before it all gets coated?

It's made by princess, found this on Ciao:

http://www.ciao.co.uk/Reviews/PRINCESS_ECO_FRYER__7487624

The idea is good, but the implementation seems poor, how the spray system works seems to relie on a perforated plate above the fying food, which needs to be flipped, no doubt this can get messy and deangerous when you try to remove the food as inevitably there wil still be some oil left on the perforated lid.

Very good price though compared to other retailers.

EDIT: It can also be used as a traditional deep fat fryer too.

It does say that it can be uesed as a conventional 3 litre fryer without using the spray, sounds like you get the best of both worlds.

I presume it's a new product thats why there's no reviews, but if it was a bad product there would be negative reviews.

I thought this looked like a great offer until I read that you have to replace the filter every 5 uses and, guess what? I can't find them on line. I wouldn't touch this.

Agreed however I can get a conventional fryer for less money. Noting that I won't save oil using it as a conventional fryer it seems a bit pointless for my own personal usage. Others that just fry chips or other 'dry' foods will probably see some savings.

This cooks chips in 4 minutes uses 85% less oil and 50% less eletricity it's £43.94 here, and well in excess of £90 on Amazon. I think this stands up well against the Lidl one.
