It is my first post so please be easy.
I bought a Deep Fat Fryer yest for £10 in Claphan Junction Asda. This Smart Price deep fat fryer can prepare up to 0.5kg of fried food and features a viewing window, safety locking lid, rise and fall basket and removable tank.

I have also seen that review (http://reviews.asda.com/1440-en_gb/001520972/reviews.htm), however I managed to read above it to see which model the review was in reference to, at which point it became very apparent that that model had been discontinued.

I have purchased the new 'replacement' model (in which this thread relates to) today myself and used it to cook this evening's meal. It took approx 10 min to cook a large portion of chips for two, and it was very easy to dismantle and clean afterwards. I wouldn't recommend it for a larger family as it has quite a small dipping basket.

It is more that adequate for purpose. It probably won't last for ever, but what do you expect for £10?!
