I opened up the "Books Direct" website via Quidco then returned to the "Books Direct Bargains" website to place the order and Quidco tracked at 80p.

Urrgghhh Delia Smith. I would rather eat my own foot than give her my hard earned cash. No Im not an Ipswich fan - I used to be a chef and her name is mud in the industry. Each to their own - if you find her stuff helpful fair enough, but there must be other books out there which covers all angles for the same price.
#15
this would make a perfect gift for my step dad only thing is it wont let me register because there system wont reconise my post code.
#16
Great deal, these are over £50 on Amazon.

You can't go wrong at this price and you don't need to find many recipes that you want to cook to make it worthwhile either. Nice find. Thanks.

Delia's cooking with friends. Page 24

Foot au gratin.

Take your own foot and simmer for 90 mins, add cheese (unless you've had the same socks on for months, then cheese isn't required) and serve. Ideal with Mased pots and gravy. Or for a special touch chew the toenails first.

I did exactly the same and quidco tracked at 80p

Did anybody notice that Books Direct are a "book club"?

There is a minimum 4 book purchase over the course of a year and supposedly if you don't fulfil this they will charge you £10 per book outstanding...

In addition to your special introductory offer, you agree to buy at least 4 books in your first year of Membership, this is your Membership Agreement. Fulfilling it is easy - we offer a great range of books to choose from. Once your Membership Agreement is fulfilled, you are not obliged to buy any more books, but you will remain a member of the club and continue to receive the club magazine. You can cancel your Membership any time after you have bought the agreed number of books.

Please note: At the time of cancellation, if you have not bought the number of books you agreed to buy, you will be charged a cancellation charge of £10 for each book outstanding. You may choose to either pay the cancellation charge, or purchase additional books to fulfil your Membership Agreement. This charge will be waived if you have spent more than £50 on your account.

This is from Books Direct Bargains not Books Direct Club

Just noticed that, I found it on their main site for the same price and didn't realise the difference. Thanks.

#30
So can someone clarify, if I order this will I need to order a whole load of books throughout the year?

I ordered these from them the last time this deal was on. The books are great but they are all scuffed and marked so you might not be happy to give them as gifts!
#32
Oops meant to say you wont have to buy a whole lot of books in addition to this momo69.

Wish some of you lot saying it's a book club with further contractual obligatory purchases would READ the website tersm first...

Doubt this deal is for you anyway, you won't be able to follow the recipes your reading is so bad!!!

Mine were scuffed too, but they were only for me so doesn't matter too much - might have been better if they'd put some packing in the box too.
#35
I bought these when they were £2 each - fab set, just wish I knew someone else who wants one! Fab find
#36
Cheers abzorba - what a corker you are - ended up spending near 50 squid (what a double edge sword this site is) on a load of shashing bargains. + 8% topcashcash
