A friend of mine just bought one of these and it is woefully slow.......probably better off with a Centrino dual core processor?

i'd get him to have it checked out. we've sold 30-40 of these even with just the 1.5ghz celeron processor and they've been great.

though i suppose it depends on what he is doing with it....:geek:

not bad but there are some good deals on Centrinos at the moment.

i'm not very convinced this is a great deal.

the Dell 6400 is available even on Dells website with the Duo processor, 80gb, and with a full years warranty comes to just £519 - the above laptop is £541 with a years warranty. Granted the 6400 would only have 512Mb but thats easily and cheaply upgradable from crucial.co.uk, particularly as the the 6400 comes with a single 512mb stick of memory rather than say two x 256mbs

i really like 1300's and they are great value when they can be bought for say £300-£350, but at around the £500+ mark, there are nicer machines around.
