Good deal as got one for father in law but then also found this at Pixmania for £389. Both offering Quidco - unsure of any delivery charges from either.

This deal has been on here since boxing day... says alot really. There big TV deal which would normally sell out in a few days is still hanging around now (14/01/09). Not sure if people are awaer of this at all, but Laptops are due to be going up in price due to the exchange rate and current economic climate. This is from a trusted source

I see this morning they now have online stock with free delivery

Here's a similar specced Toshiba from M&S with a free 2 year warranty maybe worth considering [online only] which works out at £394 delivered [after VAT reduction + delivery] http://www.marksandspencer.com:80/gp/product/B001L7ZO66/sr=1-1/qid=1231936120/ref=sr_1_1/280-2651704-8036667?ie=UTF8&node=46458031&m=A2BO0OYVBKIQJM&keywords=&mnSBrand=core&size=9&rh=&page

I thought the price increases thing was common knowledge by now?

Check out for example http://news.sky.com/skynews/Home/video/uk-pound-recession-retailers-wilson/Video/200811315158210?lpos=video_Article_Related_Content_Region_1&lid=VIDEO_15158210_uk_pound_recession_retailers_wilson [watch the news report - and remember things are even worse now]

Or do a 'google' for Sony price increases as a starter.......

Good laptop i was very very close to buying it last night and ended up paying £30 more for
http://hotukdeals.com/item/317587/acer-aspire-5535-rm-70-320gbhdd-4gb

Massive HDD, more ram, vista premium, awsome screen, dedicated graphics, awsome webcam, built in mic, number pad (aswel as qwerty), multi touch touchpad etc... loads of cool stuff and it looks nicer.
Although the turion processor maybe a little less powerful than the core2duo.

I was looking for a laptop for a friend, and saw that Tosh on Amazon for £365.75 just a few days ago, but I see it has now gone up over £390 making the M&S one better value - meanwhile my friend was persuaded to buy an acer by someone else so they've missed out too.
