8ms is better, these are not the very latest Dell offerings but I have one and it works well for me ;)

8ms is better

16ms is pretty appauling if you do any gaming at all this monitor will be awful.

Good price, but there's another point to note:

Connectivity: D-SUB

Not the newer DVI standard.

Also depends upon how 8ms or 16 ms is calculated :)

You have opened a can of worms here, edi:)

Hmm.. although Dell is a good brand, we've been seeing 19" monitors with better specs... such as better response times, widescreen, and DVI input going for anything between 105-129 over the last few weeks.

Personally, i'm waiting for the 20" monitors to plunge in prices. So far they've all been holding up in the 200+ price range whereas the 19" ones are fast approaching 100!

Me too boonkoh! There is such a strange disparity there, from the 19 up to the 20...

It's just like Hard Drives between the 320Gb and 400Gb range (although 400Gb seem to be dropping now).

Nothing really strange here. Good 20" monitors are using different kind of matrices (S-IPS or xVA) while most of 19" monitors are using TN+ film ones.
In addition, most of good 20" monitors got resolution of 1680x1050, while cheapo 20" monitors got 1440x900.

So, my prediction is that there will be price drop on overall 20" LCD market when it'll be flooded by TN+ film-based matrices. But quality stuff will still cost the same as it is now.
