I think it looks great, and apparently its design has won awards. I wouldn't personally pay that much, but some might. Bare in mind theres swarms of people willing to pay through the nose for Apple stuff, which is just normal hardware stuck in a fancy metal box, so im sure there's people willing to pay 400 for a well and innovatively designed 22" monitor.

And change back,,,

The only way this deal would look good if you where an MP claiming it on expenses, for the rest of us in the real world this is COLD!
#11
I'd rather by a llama than waste £400 on a 22" monitor.
#12
While it looks wicked, it's not even full HD, and only 2000:1 contrast ratio?

Sorry Dell...

Come on, £400 for each LCD monitor; factor in 50% for design value so it is £200 each monitor, not too bad! It has 3 year premium panel against failure of even one pixel so this is a premium quality product. The visual quality is not entirely related to 1080i/p type of resolution.

Yes, but it is related to that fact that this thing has a TN panel.

£400 for a top-quality 22" monitor would have been reasonable, you pay about £250-£300 for the good quality but workmanlike ones like the HP LP2275w and Lenovo LP220x so if dell had managed to combine a similar quality or better screen with multimedia capabilities 50hz, extra inputs etc. and excellent speakers then I could see it being worth £400.

However, this isn't that and so it's a cold deal.

Lol, the design awards are probably given to it by the designers of this "monitor" :whistling:

Answer: On the dell website, the banner that led me to the deal said "buy one get one free" clicked it, THEN saw the price.
