Superb screen, got one of these when they were last on promo (maybe 6 months ago) massive display resolution, really bright and clear, can't fault it, especially at this price.. Bargain.. Heat added

At this price I'd also consider the Dell 2209WA, lower resolution but higher quality.

I've had mine since January - a beautiful monitor! The webcam works well too - the screen is so bright, it lights up your face well for the camera! A word of warning though - the microphones are very very quiet and mine have a lot of background noise (buzz/humming) with Windows 7.

    Nice resolution.

I am not really interested in the web cam part so it will not bother me! Ordered this morning so should be up and running soon! will make the windows 7 experience a better one i think!

You need a dual link DVI cable for that resolution though. Just to let people know.

The monitor comes with a DVI cable, so hopefully its dual link, seems a bit stupid if its not!

Anyone know a slightly cheaper model thats full HD and around 20-21"
23" and that res is a bit overkill for my needs!

I got this last year for £230, it has a HDMI input port and a DVI input port, you can request to have either after ordering. The monitor is brilliant, very bright aswell and it allows you to choose different modes to help with energy saving and tired eyes and multimedia in pitch black.
It should come with 3 year warranty as did mine last year. Do not get anything cheaper as this value reflects the quality. It also has a touch pad on and off button, and touch pad menu. The webcam isnt the best as you have to turn the monitor in the direction you want, but it takes HD photos which is good for all those funny or scary ghost moments that go on.

I guess if you choose to use your own webcam and mic you would just disable the one which is built in??

It's not the cable that has to be compatible, it's your graphics card. Essentially the card has to be capable of running two monitors off the same port. Most recent cards are capable, but check first otherwise the monitor won't run at its full resolution.

Just wondering - can you tell me if it comes with all cables, etc that are needed and if it has built in speakers? As you can tell I am not very knowledgable

No you don't. I've run this a secondary monitor on a Geforce 8800GTX and later a Geforce 285GTX. As mr.velvet states it's down to the card.
