Dell do seem to be either selling machines and not being effected by the credit crunch (hate that term), or you have to wait longer to see those price come down.

how does this fare when plumbed into the more advanced xps one?

is this worth it in your opinion or would it still mean the base unit is the better deal?

The next model up is £494 inc the discount, its got a better cpu and slightly better graphics....but I think I would stick with the base model.

nice find, went for the one posted a while back (N1252505) been tracking this for a while, was £418.38, then jumped up to £438 (went from £70 off to £50 off) now with del charge added but an additional 10% off it came in at about £390, so with Quidco at 6% I guess thats about £375 delivered...as Tesco say....every little helps.
#11
went for the xps one - only around £362 withthis voucher

plus 6% quidco and cashback on my credit card - utter bargain

Do you think they will have better deals on boxing day?

I really need a new laptop and want to get the m1330 for a bargain price.
#14
typical, I bought a Studio 1737 just last week. could have saved myself enough to pay for the better screen :(
#15
OP - You might want to change the mimimum amount spend on the first post. It says £449 on their page ;)
#16
whatever the title says, i still got the discount on the £401 xps one

Ordered the top spec XPS One for the parents on Friday! Cancelled the order though and put a new one in, £60 saving is nice, especially on top of the 50% already!

Amazing deal for a system like that.

Good deal.

Shame about the customer support service though, it seem to have gone down hill.

Got 3 Dell laptops at home, pretty solid and not had any major problems. Recommended a Dell laptop to wife's company, HDD started making funny noise and she got through to some foreign Support center, could hardly understands the person, then when it was sent back, Dell must have contracted out to some 3rd party. Laptop came back and HDD still making noise, worst was that they didn't even bother to finish the OS image installation, so it had to go back AGAIN. Thinking of 3rd time lucky, OS was now properly installed but HDD still making noise. My wife has given up with calling them until it actually dies.

I had my payment rejected by my bank (fraud prevention) got a call off my bank straight away and they said everythings ok now just go ahead and order again.
I called dell and after 30 mins on the phone being passed around left right and center i spoke with some foreigner who was desperate for my order. All i called up for was to make sure it would be here before xmas. He said if i order with him it will be with me before the 23rd as he has a special option thats not available online. I told him i wouldnt get any affiliate cashback if i ordered with him. 15 mins later of talking to this idiot i told him i was going to end the call and order online, he tried always to get my postcode etc and then in the end he said when you order please enter his name in the sales assistant bit. It would help him a lot. Cheeky Barsteward!
Dell can stick their stuff right up their **** as far as im concerned! Unless a deal of the century turns up ;)

What do you guys mean cashback for using credit card? x
#21
some credit cards give you cashback (usually in the form of vouchers for say pc world or BT or british gas or whatever) when you use them for purchases. usually only around 1% of what you buy, but if you're spending £400, obviously you get £4 back

have a look at moneysupermarket and it'll tell you best cards to use on there

Plan is to sell the blu ray dvd writer on ebay for around £135 ish and sell the hd3650 card for around the £35 mark and purchase a 512mb ATI 4850 HD card to replace it for around £95 , I already have a nice arctic 500w psu to replace the stock one too and 2 pioneer dvd writers.
Also flog the Vado 2gb Video camera for around £50 on ebay , a nice little bonus !!

Total cost with the above alterations - £531.00 , a real bargain methinks !! (motherboard, cpu and memory alone would have cost £610 so not bad with a ati 4850 hd and vista home premium and a £30 g5 gaming mouse and the rest of the pc , ready built for £80 less !!) LOL , LOL .... I Cant Sleep ;)

It was actually 6% yesterday...I got £19.66 on a £327.76 sale...Quidco/Dell possibly dropped it because of the 10% offered by Dell....giving away 16% in total is quite a bit, plus the model I got had an additional £50 off as well....mind you....they had added £20 for delivery since I had last looked at the spec I wanted
