For a desktop PC this is a fantastic deal. With Quidco discount this will come to about £330, for a decent processor and great TFT.
Throw in a 7600GT graphics card and 512MB of memory and you've got a very quiet good little gaming machine for about £430 all in.

One problem biglugs ..you'd also have to purchase a DVD Rom to play the games...but you can get one of those for a tenner or so.

will this accept a 7600 HT card? I read in a different thread somewhere that 5150 will not take a newer graphic card. Can someone please clarify this point as I am interested in buying this computer.

Thanks

My 5150 bought last year has PCI-E x16 graphics card slot.

I notice now that a lot of the Dell deals don`t includes the system installation CD and charge extra for it.

DAK if the hard disk is still partitioned, so if needed, you can restore back to factory settings or would the CD be needed?
I have the following on my Dell.

Using Dell PC Restore by Symantec
Use Dell PC Restore by Symantec only as the last method to restore your operating system. PC
Restore restores your hard drive to the operating state it was in when you purchased the computer.
Any programs or files added since you received your computer—including data files—are
permanently deleted from the hard drive. Data files include documents, spreadsheets, e-mail
messages, digital photos, music files, and so on. If possible, back up all data before using PC
Restore.

I am considering buying this model for a friend but she already has a decent TFT screen so has no need for the one supplied but I see no option to exclude it!
Would I need to call to get that option or do they not do them without?

Many thanks thedazler

You can have this one with no monitor and its dual core ;)
If you still want the other one then its best to buy with the TFT and sell it on as Dell dont give much off normally for removing it from the deal.

You'll have no problems fitting a Gforce 7600GT...which seems to be favoured by the gamer who wants performance on a moderate budget...well if you call £100 - £120 modest???
