post actual price in title, not money off!

the price depend of your configuration may vary

should use a 'from' price i.e. the lowest spec (which is still powerful),

£721 + 10% quidco, so £648.90 including the cashback, not a bad price for an XPS. Using an older model at the moment, still going strong!

I stated configuration I consider to buy and I think the price is fantastic I need only to convince my woman that 4 years for a computer is enough to replace it :) and it has to be touchscreen

Had my Mesh for over 10 years and still going strong... Ish! A bit noisy and had to get a new PSU so it's me that I have to convince. Heheh!

for this money you are better off getting a bare bones system from eg novatech and adding a graphics card, hard disk, optical drive, os eg windows 7 yourself.......will work out cheaper with better parts and importantly upgradeable

Crosswski has posted a means of saving money and I am thankful for that. Not that it will count for much versus the votes of people who comment how things "should" be done, but I am giving heat :)

Regardless of value for money I can say that the Dell XPS range are decent PC's.

I bought a XPS 8100 about 9 months ago and it's a cracking good system.

As it seems you'd priced one configuration, where this discount applied, then it would have been a clear way to have shown an example spec/price, including the discount, if you'd simply included these details. You've been a member for a fair amount of time and I'm fairly sure you realise that deals are typically posted with a price: for pcs, these invariably include either a basic/standard configuration or a specified configuration that is highlighted and priced. This deal has been voted cold, and some of this may well be due to the unclear manner in which it has been posted: this is a shame, as it seems to be an offer that does have merit.

My Mesh is noisy too, and got noisier after they went in to service something a few months in. If this sees out the next 4 years to get to a decade I'll be astounded!

it's nice when your deal get HOT but for me more important is to share information and I believe there are people who will take advantage of my post, well but if some people are voting after 3 second look at the post that their problem not mine
