Hi Edi,

How do you manage to get 2 for £27.00?. Added one to shopping basket, opted for no USB Cable and no paper and the total is £22.00 for one Dell Colour Printer 725.

All Dell printers are to the best of my knowledge re-badged Lexmark printers. Whilst some do not like Lexmark very much in fairness i've found Lexmark products to do what they say on the tin so to speak although admittedly the inkjet cartridges are not the cheapest on the market (basically need to shop around or buy from someone like ChoiceStationary.com rather than buying them from Dell also).

Best Regards.

Hi itx :)

Proceed to the basket to see the price of the printer dropping to £10 inc VAT :)

Buy 2 & the total price is £27.05 inc VAT & delivery

How much are cartidges for the all in one and can compatibles be purchased?
#8
thanks edi, Really a very good bargain.
#9
Good price :) Although Lexmark would have to pay me to use their printers :)
#10
Low capacity black cartridges are around £13, high are around £16. Low capacity colour are around £16, photo ink £17 and high capacity colour are about £28. A bit pricey when I can pick up mine for £3.
[admin]#11
I think there are some sites that show how to refill these Dell ones or how to "adjust" your printer so that it will take generics.
#12
have bought three, i see you guys already have them up on ebay at £15 each, i think i will sell nearer to xmas

Hi Edi,

Thank you.
Much appreciated.

Worth giving some serious consideration, buying two of these for just over £27.00.

Best Regards.
#17
Let me get this right...

When I configure this item, I have to select "no additional ink" is that correct?

Does it specify if you have any ink in it to begin with?

I have nightmares of this arriving with no ink and costing £15+ per cartridge! eek!

My little Canon Pixma only costs around £5 for 2 cartridges!
#18
Cheers edi, another great spot by you and voted damn hot!
Would appreciate any help on locating the best priced replacement cartridges.
#19
inkjet manufacturers make so much money from the cartridges, I think they're willing to sell the printers pretty much at cost price. So long as the printers come with a free ink cart, you're often best off buying a new printer every time.

for colour, that is.

it is of course massively cheaper to buy a laser for black (text etc.). I get 3000+ pages per £14 toner refill with my laser.
#20
Hi guys,

Bit confused by this one! Do you have to buy 2 or can you just buy one? First post seems to suggest buy one for £20 (the all in one), surely that's better than 2 for £45? I'm buying for a friend and I don't think he'll want two!!!

On the ebay note (I'm not going to sell them by the way!) how much does it cost to send one of these through the post? I'd imagine it's quite expensive, is there any way of doing it cheaper using a courier company for example?

Thanks!
suspended#21
Somehow i am just not getting the price you are edi:-(
#22
Add 2 to your basket and update the price at checkout. Delivery takes it over the stated prices by a couple of £'s [2 x 725's for £27 delivered].
#23
I notice that ebay have refill kits for these at a tenner + postage, where you can refill you cartridges multiple times.

Anyone got any view yet whether they'll arrive with cartridges actually in the package when you order with no "additional ink"?
suspended#24
Thanx rayman ordered, would like to know the same question as above.Do they come with cartridges?:|

Thanks for the help Ray :)

As with all inkjets, these should also come with test catridges (i think) !

it seems that the benefit of buying 2 is that delivery is much cheaper for 2 than it is for one. If you buy one, delivery is £10 (cost of printer = £20) If you buy 2, delivery is £6. This makes delivery £7 cheaper *per printer* if you buy 2. (cost of each printer = approx £13).

I wonder if Dell hiked-up the delivery charge for 1 printer, trying to recoup some of the discount they were giving, and forgot to increase it for multiple-orders. Otherwise, the delivery charges are insane.

Unless the delivery man charges less for two because carrying one in each hand is better for his back.

I got the Dell AIO 810 for myself last month. I bought these 725 x2 for the kids rooms. They both have Dells but without printers.

I can state categorically that my 810 came with a cartridge (tricolour or whatever its called!) therefore I have every reason to believe the 725's will too.

Hope this helps and another great spot Edi
#28
They should arrive with trial cartridges, so might well be worth adding those inks at the same time... Buy through QuidCo to earn cashback too...
#29
My finger was poised over the buy button for 2x924 printer/scanners.

With quidco saving that's just £22 per unit...

However, the crazy price for the ink cartridges just doesn't make sense!

Does anyone else here own and run a Dell printer? How many pages do you get out of a hi-cap cartridge?

Don't forget they make the profit from consumable sales - I've given up on two inkjets because the cartridges were so expensive and found salvation in laser-land.
I suppose with the all-in-ones, you could at least use it as a scanner (if you don't already have one). ...Would be a cheap scanner.

It would indeed be a cheap scanner. But it would also be a big scanner...

I've just bought 3 sets of colour + b/w ink cartridges for my canon pixma and they've just come to £4 for each set including delivery.

I just don't think I'm going to bother with them.

Still tempting to ebay them though! Last week, each one went for around £50 including postage. You could probably make about £15 profit on each one!
#32
Has this offer expired? I can't get it below £45 for the 2.:-(
#33
its coming up with total price of £43.50 >????
for 2 ?
help please !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
[admin]#34
Are you guys going all the way to the checkout screen? I think the final discount only shows there.
#35
Anyone know of a cheap way to post items like this? As far as I can work out these are 13 pounds (weight), which is about 6-7kg which costs about £17 to send from the post office. If I've got my figures wrong or there's a cheaper way of doing it please let me know.

Works ok for me - have you taken the usb cable and all the other extras off?
#38
It's actually cheaper to buy the printers than to buy the ink separetely. See, if you choose the 2 for 27quid option, it will work out to be 13.5quid for each printer (including ink). The ink (colour) on its own costs 15quid (2 quid more expensive).

So buying 2 of these printers is like buying two ink cartridges, really. You can chuck them away after using them. (I hope I'm not wrong about the ink part?)

Where did you get that? Mind sharing with us? I was eyeing for Canon Pixma ip1600 as well when I saw this deal for DELL...

Yeh Fordy, I've taken all the extras off including the cable. The printers are coming up at £19 each plus delivery. I've tried everything???
