Good printers for family and school printing. No more clogged inkjets ever! Cheap non-oem toners on ebay/amazon that last a long time.

Lots of info in older HUKD threads for this printer, eg here (re exposed paper tray), here (re manual duplexing), here (re Android app), etc.

if you want to refill the cartridge yourself then cheaper bottles are available on eBay and also the chips themselves for this printer. but I can't be arsed refilling when I can but a set of 4 colours for £12.90 with the chip.

Bottled toner is devil's work.

Can someone recommend which seller of these cheap toners that are as good as the original. Without the original toners, is hard to know the true quality of the colour prints.

on the older threads for these printers others mentioned they buy the £12.90 set of 4 toners. the same person mentioned there bought 2 of these printers on the older threads. so bought on those owner recommendations from previous threads for this printer

I hate it when this happens. I have only just bought a new Ricoh SP C250 DN wireless colour laser printer from Amazon for £50. 21 which comes with a starter cartridge.

The replacement Ricoh cartridges are expensive , so it would actually work out cheaper to pay more
money for a Dell laser as the cartridges are cheap.

I hope a few more cartridge suppliers start stocking Ricoh in the future. The other thing to check
especially anything HP they put a chip in to try and stop the printer accepting anything other than
manufacturers over priced inks or toner.

thanks, purchased, have heat! I have the wired one 1250c and had it for 5 years now, no issues at all. Cheap toner comparered to other brands and excellent quality

I have one of these, excellent printer quality and pretty fast at going from standby to printing first page. I have a spare set of toners that I bought just after getting the printer last year, haven't needed to open it yet though. Bought them from Amazon themselves so a bit more comeback if the toners are duff etc. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00977H8DY/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
£18.20 for the set of 4, which I think is still good value, and they are high capacity non-OEM ones... if you buy cheaper ones guys, please post back about the colour quality etc, thanks :)

I bought a dell 2150cn a few years ago for £158 off Amazon when dell were offering the £75 trade in cashback for an old printer. Sadly the first one they delivered was ghosting so had it replaced, but managed to get cashback against both :-) ended up costing me £8 and I'm still on the original toners.
#24
I have the all in one version, been having trouble with the "ink" smudging. Tinkered around with the timer for the fuser might have to buy a new one at this price.

I have one, great printer for the price! Being WiFi can chuck it in a cupboard and have it out the way and powered up ready to print whenever!

We bought one of these when the £100 deal was on from Ebuyer, but it was to replace a Dell 1250c we had for many years before that, I can confirm these are the best value for money printers going! We get cheap toners from Ebay and have never had any problems, with 2 student daughters printing what seems a like a book a month each I am so thankful for finding this. I dunno if these are refurbished or what but if they work you won't regret it.
lol I like the poster thinking of buying a second for spares, if I had the room I would but I've no where to keep it. It would be a huge shame if Dell really are stopping these printers in the UK.

Seems to be what they're doing. They selling the partially used toners for £25-£75. Bit of a cheek.

If you can wait then it's better to get a new printer from eBuyer when they get new stock. They often on special below £100.

Update: seller has increased price by £10; better to wait now I would say

throw the spare in the attic. will be costlier buying other printers and toners for other printers. yes dell have stopped selling printers except in the USA. so stock up if you can! I would have bought the multifunction version but they are going on eBay for £300 used!

The problem with buying the no name toner is that with Amazon the reviews seem to cover various retailers selling various brands, so reviews never truly tell you the story about 1 type of toner. Some reviews are great and some are terrible.
