Jump to unread Post a Comment- well it has a VGA socket as well as PS/2 keyboard and mouse, so from that perspective strictly speaking why not, (wouldn't have thought the graphics chipset was up to a great deal though) the main problem is that desktop operating systems probably won't 'see' all the processor cores - as someone mentioned previously, this is essentially a virtualisation host. - Also - doesn't come with an operating system. In some ways you'd be as well looking at a cheap laptop - at least it comes with a screen and keyboard.
Dont see why not, keep in mind this is a refurb aka used

Wouldnt make a very good home pc which makes sense seeing as they are servers to go in a rack.

Would be a bit loud but perfect in garage or something. That and a UPS and you could do some hosting from home oO
The ram upgradability is a big bonus.
Other Dell rack servers I've owned have had very loud fans so not suitable for desktop use - worth double checking how loud this is before you decide to try and use it as a desktop.
Seems a reasonable machine for the money but I'd still go for the ML110 over this if I didn't need a zillion GB of ram.
