A price drop by dell this week makes this well rounded system look a bit of a bargain.

As usual reduce the warranty to minimum for this price and buy via quidco for further cashback savings.

Price on this on actually seems to be £621 delivered.
Under £600 once adding the 5% off coupon makes this look a excellent deal.

What would be the best graphics card that i could purchase to replace the crappy one it comes with. Wanting to be able to play the latest games.

Would the power supply limit my options

£591 with the extra 5% plus i think you could get another 5% via Quidco.

I'm not suggesting you buy this one from dell but:1GB nVidia® GeForce® 7950 GX2 Dual GPU graphics card [add £399.50 ] is what they offer as the top card and its also a double width card so any card up to that grunt will work with the power supply fitted.
Try the X1300 pro card before making your mind up to fit another, you may be suprised how it handles games, if your not happy then think of going for another card.
Check ebay and you may find some 7950's going for reasonable money too soon once the 8xxx series get bought by "must have" gamers.

Nice to see the price dropped again, having to work means I sometimes miss the odd change in prices by Dell as they seem to be altering things daily now!

Finally up and running after transferring files from my old pc.
Have also upgraded the graphics card to a 7800gtx

This machine now flys and was excellent value for money.

Only trouble i have is that there are no ide connection on the motherboard. Everything is Sata.

I want to add 2 Ide Dvd writers to the system.
Can anyone recommend a suitable cheap adapter that will do the job

how much is the price without the 19 tft monitor?

nice price save me building a new pc if it works out the same. As my ageing pc AMD xp2500, 512mb, 460gb (250gb + 160GB) , long due for an upgrade starting to feel very slow.
