Awesome deal Mike! Seems best so far....and better than the before 10am deal yesterday.

Sigh, a few years ago I could figure out everything there was to do with computers, now it's much more complicated (or I'm more senile). Can anyone tell me if this would run Flight Simulator X (reasonably) smoothly if I doubled the RAM? I really need a new comp as mine is 6yrs old but am finding it very confusing.

Thanks! :)

To get the best from the system IF it wont run your sim smoothly I would suggest a graphics card upgrade as the supplied is "onboard" graphics chip.
Now Dell do this for £71 256MB ATI® Radeon® X1300 Pro PCI Express graphics card but the same card is £40 elseware, it just depends on if your happy to instal your own kit or if you want it to come ready to go.
Now if Dell would like to send me one on demo I could try the graphics out for you ;-) but as I doubt they will its a grey area as I am not familiar with 6150 chips and the capabilities.
Bear in mind this is a slim desktop so will need a half height card I think.

Good advice MikeT..as usual...I would expect some price cuts on the current crop of Gforce series 7 cards now that series 8 are on the market..and of course serious gamers will be offloading their series 7 onto the second hand market to upgrade..so there should be some brgains around..probably after Christmas.

poo! didnt realise that and ordered one anticipating being able to put my new GEForce 7600 GT card in it, can anyone confirm this???

Definitely will need a half-height card - this is a slimline case. For full height cards you need to buy one of the E520/E521 range of machines.
This is the only thing that has put me off buying one of these machines.
