mike, just been on the dell website to see if theres any more offers, and i was on that page where it says highlight the desktop to see any offers,so i highlight the E521,and it said "save additional £70 inc vat",so could i get an extra £70 off the price above,or is that where you got the term from...

Now your being greedy Jim! that applies to certain ecodes on that page but not this one, the prices you see include any offer reductions already.

o right,it just said check for special promo,so i did and then i seen the desktops that are available for the £60/70 reductions and the model number of the computer you posted above was there.so i cant get a further £60 of it then

A better starting spec might be...

http://configure.euro.dell.com/dellstore/config.aspx?c=uk&cs=ukdhs1&l=en&oc=D03E12

It is only £20 dearer, but has 2GB and a 320GB drive.

It lacks Windows Premium and the x1300 pro. Adding both takes the price to £510

I think it is identical otherwise.

Naturally, it always depends on the needs of the individual, but to effectively get the upgrade to 2GB for £60 is pretty good. After all, it saves you the hassle of sorting it out yourself!

Yep, thats a good tip wizball, if you can afford to go higher in cost then thats a better deal with the upgrades added. But I just realised its not got Integrated Analogue TV tuner PCI card and Dell (MCE/Premium/Ultimate) remote control and "live" cpu so it really depends on if you want/need those.

Sorry, MikeT! Didn't spot that bit. Devil in the detail etc... With that in mind, starts to look like I was comparing apples and pears, sorry!

Hey, no problem. I have a lot (around 100) ecodes to sort through on Thursdays and dell have started changing the deals 2 or more times during Thursday so I can get caught out and miss something as they dont make it easy.
If you find somethng then either make me aware or post it if its a good deal, we are here to share:thumbsup:

Then your doing something wrong!

Log into quidco, go to dell using the tab, look down the left sidebar for "shop by ecode" click and enter 305 in the first box and D03E15a in the second with no leading or trailing spaces. Now reduce the warranty to minimum and add what you want, checkout and your done.
