Dell for some reason have made it so you can remove the 128MB Ageia PhysX card today and save £186.82 off the list price. There is a 10% discount code L23XRVXCNDPWCW for XPS's that drops the price £145.22 more then using quidco at 4.5% brings the price down a total of £390.85 from £1698.99

You could also add 2gig of ram for £94

Think it's a Dimension, not an Inspiron? :)

Got up too early! Whoops and thanks.

Good price if an XPS 710 floats your boat. Its quite a beast (not least to look at) and now that Dell have sorted out the motherboard problems its worth considering.

Just make sure you have reinforced floor boards :giggle:

ALWAYS ring dell before commiting to one of these deals. You can nearly always talk them down a few hundred quid or get loads of free upgrades. Remember, they WANT your sale!

But then you don't get quidco. And I'm not sure whether you can use discount codes either? In which case it evens out. ;-)

I would advise waiting a while for quad core processors to drop in price, which they definitely will. This machine is really for those who require the bleeding edge and already have a nice monitor (otherwise will cost you extra).
