I'm wondering if this is the clear out now that the sandy bridge XPS15s have arrived?

Dell Sandy Bridge laptop now on sale in UK

still 650 for a 15" laptop is not that great.

My XPS17 L702X with the 3D screen arrived on Monday :D

Prices aren't that much better than a couple of months ago, the £25 coupon will just about cover the shipping, which was free until recently. Would definitely be holding out for the new SBs now unless they dramatically drop the price on these (and I say that as an xps15 owner).

Don't forget quidco btw, just in case you do go for one of these, should knock about £40 off.

You're right! I was only looking at the 15s to compare with what I bought a few weeks ago. The 17s are not a bad price in that case, relative to the old xps15 pricing.

Dell just doesn't seem as competitive these days. And I really miss the proper old XPS machines that actually had quite high end gpus and not the 'ok on low' gpus.
